The rays of sunshine hit my eyes the moment they fluttered open.
I checked the clock on my bedside table. 0728, it read.
Urgh...I hate waking up so early on Saturdays...
I sat up and stretched as I got up to wash myself up.
A white, oversized hoodie with black ripped jeans was my outfit of the day.
Which was then accompanied by my good old pair of Black Vans.
I grabbed my keys, wallet, and phone before leaving the house to shop for groceries.
I walked along the busy streets for around 10 minutes before reaching my destination.
I looked around and picked out some stuff that I needed.
I was finally done with my grocery shopping when I came across this old lady.
She was selling all types of weird stuff such as an Ouija Board, Crystal Balls, etc.
But what stood out the most was a golden lamp.
I strutted over to the old lady as she spoke to me in a Busan accent.
"Hey young man, I can see a bright future ahead of you... all it takes is just a wish to clear your cloudy path... How about you buy this lamp from me for $30 and it would grant your wish... please?"
I looked at the old lady as she pleaded me to buy that golden lamp from her.
"But...remember, you must wish before 14 days and after your wish is granted, please return this lamp to me..."
Urgh...I hate myself for being so empathetic...
I bought the lamp from her, even though I knew that it wouldn't fulfill my wishes, and placed it on the table the moment I got home.
The day passed without any problems or whatsoever.
Before I knew it, it was already night time. 2248 to be exact.
I switched the television off and stood up to prepare to end the day.
I was about to switch the lights off when something caught my eye.
It was the golden lamp that I bought today, sitting on the table.
I picked it up and admired the carvings on the lamp, running my fingers through the designs slowly.
I placed the lamp down and headed to my bedroom to end the day.
The next morning...
The sound of the morning birds woke me up as I rubbed my eyes.
I sat up and yawned with my eyes still closed but the moment I opened them, I saw a lady sitting on the edge of the bed.
She was facing me while sitting cross-legged.
She had long black hair with those doll-like eyes straight into my soul.
She had a serious face on and it was as if she was daydreaming.
I finally processed the situation and held my bedsheets and screamed.
The lady got shocked and fell off the bed, "Ah fuck!"
I watched in horror as she stood up while rubbing her back.
"Ah...my back hurts...is it because of my age? Jeez..." She stated.
Her eyes then looked over to me who was currently gripping tightly on the bed sheets.
"Dude, if you're going to grip on that bed sheet so tightly it's gonna rip. Plus, bed sheets nowadays are really expensive. Based on my experience, it's around 40 dollars on average."
