Chap 11-Holly's POVFamily Affair

Then his knees buckled, and he fell into his parent's embrace, with Myles and Beckett clinging to his legs. Artemis held out his hand to Butler, and pulled him in. Butler could have easily resisted, but for some reason, he didn't. And when Holly came in, Artemis dragged her in, and she came willingly too. Nobody was in the least ashamed to say there was not a dry eye in the whole group. Angeline was sobbing openly, her hand stroking Artemis's hair. Fowl Senior was clasping his son to his side, slow tears traveling down his face. Myles and Beckett were wrapped around Artemis's waist, Beckett affectionately murmuring"Artemis simple-toon."Butler eclipsed the whole group, his eyes just a little wet. Holly found herself somehow participating in the group hug, and was surprised and happy to see Artemis had somehow made room in his embrace for her, despite his families' and Butler's arms wrapped around him. Holly's tears were tracing their way steadily down her already soaked cheeks, soaking Artemis's shirtfront. He didn't seem to care one bit. For once, all pain was gone from his countenance, and peace was etched on his face. Holly hoped it was there to stay, but something inside her knew better.

Chap 12The End? (Part 1)- Darker placesArtemis's POV

The visit helped, but any joy was quickly consumed by pain. He no longer knew most of the concerned faces that surrounded him everyday. He had no idea what they wanted. A pretty woman told him it would be ok, then drifted off and buried her head in her hands. A man in a suit put his hands on her shoulders and wiped his eyes. They tried to bring his memory back with multiple objects, such as a small gold disk, and a blue diamond, and a gold coin with a hole in the middle. Artemis,(they were constantly informing him that was his name,) was fascinated with everything, especially the coin, but he couldn't say why. The only ones he knew was Butler and Holly. Butler and Holly informed him he had a disease, and he himself had told them that he would lose his memory. He trusted Butler, but not long later couldn't name the things that had earned his trust. This appeared to be the end, until a small man burst in, and after informing Artemis his name was Dr. Argon, he waved a small package."I have it!!"Everyone except Artemis simultaneously said, in the same uninterested voice,"Have what?""The cure!! Though untested, it will possibly cure the Mud-"Butler cleared his throat."That is to say.. Artemis."He shifted uncomfortably. "Or....."Fowl Senior said"Or what?"

Argon said softly, "Or kill him."
