A long time ago
There was a little girl
With cute little curls
And a cute little nose
A sunny smile
A sweet little laugh
But was hurt by mothers wrath
Was sad for quite awhile
Well, not awhile you see
For this girl was strong
She wasn't sad for long
She was back to being filled with glee
Time goes by
Terrifying events take place
But the girl is still running her race
For a raging fire burns behind her eyes
Then she meets a man
A father figure to her
The bad things start to blur
In their place, good things stand
But that doesn't last for long
For her mother starts a fight
The light stops shining so bright
What did she do wrong?
Tears fell from young eyes
As they packed all their toys
Sobbing as they left the joy
Alone, in the car they cry
Years go by
And she's still sad
Regretting everything she did bad
Regretting telling all her lies
She's alone at school
Sits in solitude
Afraid of revealing her bitter attitude
Fearing acting like a fool
They find a new home
The girl is ecstatic
Joy filters back, on automatic
Color comes back, a friendly glow
Months go by
She made a friend today
They are alike in several ways
But the girl started to cry
She cried because
Her "father" had forgotten
Her birthday, it felt rotten
He's not the man he once was
He had changed a little bit
He wouldn't even look at her
As he drive away, her vision began to blur
She really couldn't believe it
A lot has happened since then
But I have a surprise for you
The girl this happened to
Is sharing part of her story again
Pain will come and go
But believe me
You can make it, you'll see
That's one thing I know
Not one of my best but that's alright. Everything will end up okay in the end. Remember that lovelies! ❤️
