Think of what my life could be
If only was there was light to see
Lights that dance inside my head
While I simply lie in bed
I can't wait to make
My Great Escape
I walk along these halls again
Thinking back to way back when
When life was great and love was true
When I wasn't scared of you
I can't wait to make
My Great Escape
I sit alone in the dark
Crying for my broken heart
Alone at home with my thoughts
In my little quiet spot
I can't wait to make
My Great Escape
Sadness fills my crazy mind
Joy is what I'd like to find
Blissful pain fills my being
Tears start to blur my seeing
I can't wait to make
My Great Escape
Only thing I see is red
Red is dancing in my head
Just waltzing without a care
Underneath my tear-filled glare
I can't wait to make
My Great Escape
Though I know I have to wait
Freedom at the final gate
Sneaking through efficiently
Going into the world brilliantly
I can't wait to make
My Great Escape
