(Recommended song for chapter: Let Me Down Slowly - Alec Benjamin, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
He doesn't know where he's going, let alone what to believe anymore at this point. Years upon years he was taught to be good and protect human beings without a hesitation. Now, he was going to revolt against them because they don't refuse or have the heart to find peace with everyone. Since when does angels give up on humans? It doesn't make any sense.
With an empty heart, Jungkook walks around the urban streets, alone and constantly unable to stop thinking. He was around the 3 mile radius so he wasn't so far from the motel where they are all staying, just needed a moment away to gather his breath or get his head straight. Jungkook wishes life was just as easy as before when angels wasn't a problem to the humans, but it's not that easy now. Now his kind is a threat. Is the mortal life really that gone?
Jungkook didn't realize in the midst of being deep in his thoughts that he bumped into someone, and right when he was about to apologize, he was viciously pinned against the wall by the kneck. His airways were instantly cut off and he stares right into the dark eyes of a mortal with his other friends.
"Looks like we have an X," The man snickers, "Not just any X, we have an angel."
Jungkook knows his eyes are glowing right now with his hair changing to a different color, trying to give the man peaceful thoughts or better alternatives to this issue but the mortal reacted by slamming a punch across the angel's face. Jungkook didn't expect that, nether the less for a mortal to hit an angel with so much anger even after using his abilities.
It's almost impossible to resist an angels abilities when they use it towards you. How is this possible?
"You're not getting into my head you X!" He snarls and slams another punch upon the younger man's nose and his friends eventually joined in, holding Jungkook up by the arms as the other man continues to throw punches and kicks at him. No matter how many times he tried to speak, to beg them to stop, they wouldn't stop. What did he do to deserve this? To deserve this beating? Just because he's an angel? That doesn't make any sense. They're suppose to respect us!
The other man kicks Jungkook against the closed store metal blinds and slams his face against his knee, landing another punch to his stomach.
After long, torturing minutes of being physically abused, the men finally left; laughing to their job while Jungkook remains on the ground, unable to move and completely broken.
He knows he will eventually heal but as for now Jungkook feels the pain from inside his chest. The pain of the cold hard reality. He cries. Cries silently to himself from the ground to realize everyone was right. Mortals have become cruel on their own accord and they don't care who you are, they believe they are above all else.
THe angels faith began to falter, feeling his soul tug at the thought of how the mortals have betrayed everyone. Even their own kind. So..... Evil.
They're monsters
Jungkook slowly rises to his feet, limping himself away from the scene and back to the motel he's staying in. He could feel his broken nose heal with the more steps he takes. His dislocated arm goes back to it's place as any cuts and bruises heal slowly. The moment he arrives to the motel, his physical form is entirely healed as if nothing happened, and he opens the door to step inside only to see Yoongi's wolf form sleeping on the rugged ground and Namjoon practicing magic spells on the bed with legs crossed. He could feel all their gazes suddenly snap to him the moment he closes the door behind him. Jungkook could barely breathe, his head is swimming and it won't stop to how betrayed he feels. His legs couldn't hold him up anymore, collapsing to the ground and he sobs out loudly. That stupid feeling of pain in his chest won't go away.
