The next year had come by so quickly and now we were in the last week of January. There was chatter in the class group about the big wedding and everyone was very interested in attending.
"The food there will be amazing!" they said.
"The give-away items will probably be iPhones."
"The biggest wedding of the class of 2019!"
"The first wedding of the class of 2019!"
"Well it's not so surprising. We always knew they'd get married with their nauseating affections for each other."
"Don't be jealous. This wedding can open doors for you."
It went on and on and on. The comments and the chatter about Jasper and Lily's wedding which was going to be on the fourteenth of February. Due to the Valentine's day attached to the date, they were entreating everyone to wear something with a touch of red, if they wished to grace the event with their presence.
Everyone wanted to be there, and so Phillis made sure we weren't exempted. Her parents paid for all the outfits we chose when we went shopping, and she only selected the most expensive ones. Well I didn't have any complaints.
Five o'clock in the evening of fourteenth of February, we attended the first wedding of the class and of the most talked about couple, and at the finest five-star hotel in the country. They even offered free bus rides to the venue for all the members of the class. They really wanted everyone to celebrate with them on this fine occasion. The couple were from very wealthy families and their wedding was epic.
The bride's wear was a beautiful white lace off shoulder long sleeve gown. Her only jewelry was the long tear drop earrings she wore and the beautiful crown her very long veil hanged on. Her hair-do and make up were on point and she held a waterfall red bouquet with artificial pearls. She looked so beautiful as she walked down the aisle in the chapel. I only knew these things in detail because Phillis kept describing it to be as the ceremony proceeded. Soon the sweetest couple in the class became husband and wife.
They had expected a lot of people and so were prepared for it, with the large ballroom and the number of seats, and extra of everything just waiting to be needed at the reception. The place was soon full and after the bride and groom and their families arrived, the party begun.
Everyone was so happy for them. Everyone cheered and danced and ate and overall, the atmosphere was very happy. Then as I spoke with Phillis, a little girl came to me and handed me a single rose flower. She didn't wait for me to ask who had sent her before she run from me and joined her friends. I knew who it was from right away. And it was probably his way of telling me he was at the wedding and had seen me. Before I could run to the girl to ask who had given it to her, it was time for the best man to give his speech, and so everyone took their seats. I watched the little girl from my seat and made sure not to lose sight of her. I was surely going to ask her who had sent me that rose.
