|Last Night|

[Marissa]

I tried to move but firm arms held me close. I would complain but the aroma of chestnut cuddled me and draws me closer.

I guess I wasn't conscious of the situation. These arms just felt so warm and so right.

I felt hands caressing my breast ever so lightly causing a soft moan to leave my lips. It almost made me not want to move.

But as I gain consciousness, I realised that I was not in bed alone. I jerked up an attempt that failed when I didn't even move an inch.

He gripped my breast tighter causing me to arch my back.

I looked over my shoulder and saw River sleeping peacefully with a glittering smile on his face refusing to let me go.

My mind was out of focus and confusion irked me deeply. He kept groping it and it took everything in me to not just pretend I'm asleep and let him continue.

"River!", I yelled not too loud but just loud enough. He jerked as well unlike me he fell down on the floor like a real champ.

His head peeked up and his eyes widened as he stared at me, while he's laying on the floor. My left boob was no longer in my shirt. I blushed furiously and quickly shifted it back in its original place.

"Did we...", He mentioned as I tried to gather as much information from my mind of last night.

And then the light bulb landed straight on my head...not literally.

"Last night....last night....", I mumbled like a crazy scientist on the verge of a new discovery.

We laid on the bed, door closed and locked, facing each other just staring. I openly studied him, every move and every twitch. All we could hear was each others laboured breathe.

I don't even know why we were so breathless but his presence made me feel something, something I haven't figured out.

"So tell me about yourself since all we're are doing is checking each other out", I lightly chuckled in an attempt to get him out of his unconscious staring.

He blinked,"Oh"

He seemed almost dazed by my response but nevertheless he smiled and nodded.

"I grew up here in Ive's Estate. We didn't use the normal things you would. We gathered lumber to make fire and went to streams for water. We didn't have gadgets or devices as a source of entertainment. We played in the dirt, the forest, the only thing I knew. As time grew by the need for advancement was present and all forms of social platforms was embedded in our culture."

He stood and walked around a little as he spoke almost to distract himself.

"My family is highly ranked here, so my father made that decision. Everyone was merry until...."

He shook his head. "So Ive's has always been an isolated area and we have always kept ourselves under wraps."

"Why?"

He look dead in my eye, "If you saw a poisonous snake living in your house, what would you do?"

I got off the bed and walked to him, "I would get someone to kill it, and make sure it never get a chance hurt someone"

The window was open and the curtains were drawn. The breeze flowed every so lightly in the room and papers from different parts of the room flew.

"Exactly", we was so close that our nose almost touched and I leaned in a little. He was leaning in as well but something made him stop and he walked by in bed, this time going under the covers. I didn't know whether or not to follow but he gestured me to.

So I went under the sheets for a chance to get to know him better. The thought of us almost kissing still was imprinted in my head. For a moment, I longed for his lips just to touch the surface of mine. Just to feel him.

"Tell me more", I closed my eyes and faced the ceiling trying to embrace to idea of him kissing me. I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it.

A light moan came from my mouth as the image became stronger in my mind traveling to my entire body almost like electricity.

I could feel him looking at me, sniffed the air and groaned for some odd reason. He sighed afterwards and laid closer to me.

"Well when I was a little boy....

"No, we didn't", I smiled and blushed at the little memory and bond we created. A knock interrupted any thought that came to my mind at the time.

"River wake up, I can't find Marissa", his mother said in a worried tone. We both looked at each other with wide eyes. It's going to look bad with my wild hair and my clothes not in the best state.

River went to open the door and when he did, his mother just gaped at the two of us.

"Mom-

"Put some clothes on and head downstairs after breakfast to train Marissa", she smiled...she uhhhh smiled?

-

We all sat at the table to eat and I sat between River and Logan. River seemed to be quiet and unfocused but Logan could not stop talking to me.

He gave off flirtacious remarks and his mother made no decision to hide her disapproval.

River seemed tensed by all of the commotion. Charlie made a mess everywhere with her sausages and Owen barely touched his food. He just looked into his gaming console.

Luke and Blake was...well...gone and Brooke was applying her makeup in the mirror near the table.

"You are a true beauty though, who knew Kayden Heights had gorgeous girls up there", he sipped his juice, "So tell me are you single?"

I looked over at River, whose jaw was locked and gripped the glass almost at breaking point.

"Stop making her feel uncomfortable Logan", his mother scolded to which he simply brushed off.

River finished long before and so was I. I did the most obvious thing in the world. I looked at mom and she nodded.

I stood, "Let's go back to your room River, I would love a second round of last night"

His mother chuckled as Logan gaped at the both of us. River smiled and followed me up the stairs.
