The squeaky sound of a swing set rocking back and forth from a small breeze on a bright sunny day.
The laughter and screams from children sliding down a slide, or in a game of tag that they all played echoed through your head.
The sweet, juicy, cold taste sinking in your taste buds of a nice strawberry ice cream cone that refreshed you on a hot day.
Oh how you missed the feeling.
You missed the feeling of being free. You were astonished, how the whole perfect scenery that was caught upon you. The happiness planted on everyone's faces amazed you. The way children were swinging on the swings in sync, letting the most refreshing cold water prickle down their skin while seeping onto their clothes from the sprinklers, their arms waving above their heads as they're dangling from the monkey bars.
So careless and free.
Your gaze shifted when you heard your name being called out.
"(Y/N)!" The voice sang out from afar.
You turned around and there, you saw him as his little self again. His face was lovely with bright things on it, bright eyes and a bright passionate mouth.
His thick silky brown hair blew off a little from his face by the wind as his eyes grew from excitement.
"(Y/N), are you ready to play?"
He asked with an impatiently little cute voice.
"Taehyung..." you breathed out.
Looking down, you was a little girl again.
Long loose hair that was so free draped down your back. Your favorite blue overall dressed on top of the pink rainbow shirt your mother had gotten you on the day of your sixth birthday.
You noticed how small your hands were was soon as you realized it was being held by him.
He ran towards the swing set, and dragged you along, making the pace uneasy for you to catch up.
You began stumbling forward from his pace, tripping over the pile of dirt now stained on your small knee caps mixing in the blood dripping down.
You looked up and saw him calling out to you.
"(Y/N) Get up, you're alright! Get up... Get up!"
"(Y/N), Get up!"
Your eyes popped open as you bolted up from the bed, drenched in sweat.
"You alright, hun? You were talking in your sleep again."
You turned and came face to face with Taehyung. The warmth and innocence in his voice calmed your heart rate.
You breathed out before speaking.
"I'm sorry if I startled you, Taehyung. But yes, I'm fine." You kicked off the blanket draped between your legs and got off the bed.
"You're all drenched in your own sweat. Was it really that bad of a dream you had?" He asked curiously as he approached you.
"It really wasn't a 'bad' dream I suppose. It was...the usual." A small sigh escaped your mouth as you opened the blinds in the bedroom trying to make it less gloomy than it already is.
Taehyung grabbed a neatly folded towel in the closet and placed it down on the bed. "Go take a shower and get refreshed. Breakfast is waiting downstairs."
You spun around with curiosity filled in your eyes and met his. "Did you make it how I like it?"
Cocking an eyebrow, he answered, "Three blueberry pancakes stacked, with low fat vanilla yogurt on the side covered in almonds. And juice? No pulp."
You immediately grinned playfully. "And eggs?"
"No eggs. You don't eat them on Sunday mornings which is why you have your vanilla yogurt. But on weekdays, scrambled." He winked as he smiled dearly.
You giggled and gave him a small peck on the cheek. "You deserve an award for that Mr. Know-it-all."
"Oh, come on (Y/N) I'm your husband. Is there something I don't know about you?" He teased. "Now go and take your shower before I eat your food for you." He grabbed the towel and whipped your behind with it.
"Hey, watch yourself!" You laughed. "But please, do make sure the food doesn't get a little too cold, I might take—"
"— Ten minutes of showering plus twenty to do your hair and makeup? Not to mention picking out your outfit." Taehyung pursed his lips together as he slipped his hands in his pockets.
You exhaled deeply and threw the towel over your shoulder. "You know a little too much about me"
"Sorry, but I think what was supposed to come out your mouth was 'Wifey- zero, Daddy- six hundred?" He explained with a smirk.
"Not listening!" You sang as you closed the bathroom door behind you and started the shower.
Taehyung chuckled as he exit the bedroom. "She knows who daddy is."
