Ch. 5

The night felt like it was lasting for ages. Though the thought itself made it feel like a burden, you didn't mind the fact that you can actually sit back and catch up with the people you basically grew up with.

"Soo..since it's been a while.." You began, setting down your small coffee cup on the cupboard. "How are you guys spending your adulthood?"

Mae smiled. "Well, the six of us only has been keeping in contact with each other. But I'm still deciding whether to study law school to start off."

"Yup she is! And I'm still in med school as well, it's a hassle." Jin proudly indicates as he wavers his hand around in motion.

"That sounds impressive! I can see Mae studying in that major, especially you Jin." Your smile grows wide as you look at the two. "How about you Joon?"

Namjoon quickly flinches as everyone's attention turn to him and flashes a look. He tenses up nervously when you both make eye contact. "I-I'm..actually studying to become a herbalist..since you know-"

"Namjoonie here has his undying love for those plants of his he holds dearly. It's only understandable to know he wants to become one of those." Jin slung an arm around Namjoon's neck teasingly.

"Oo, Oo, Oo~ my turn!" Hoseok beams and shouts from his spot on the couch as he waves his hand around. "As for me, I'm majoring in education for student counseling~. Plus! My side job is still working at the cafe back at our hometown."

Your eyes lit up from excitement after hearing his remark. "You mean the one where you and Yoongi worked at a couple years ago?"

Hoseok nodded, face still glowing from his smile. "That's correct, and I'm the manager of it too!"

You lightly clapped your hands together with a wide grin. "That's amazing Hobi!" You congratulated and faced Jungkook who's sitting in a separate single couch. "And you kookie?"

He almost seemed like he was stuck in a daze, not paying any mind to the conversation. "A-Ah.." He finally got a hold of eye contact with you after a while. "Well..you know how I've been doing kick boxing for a while?..Well I'm basically a coach for it plus a health trainer. It's..what I love to do!" He fixes himself to turn his body posture to everyone with a smile.

"That's really good to hear you're still doing what pleases you! I couldn't be anymore proud of all of you.." You smiled dearly at everyone.

"I'm impressed as well...it must've been hard to get where you guys are standing at right now..so kudos for keeping it locked in." Taehyung finally spoke, earning their looks.

"Oh yeah! And what about Jimin? Since he's not here with us, what's he been up to?" You gleamed while turning to Jungkook and Mae.

Jin and Namjoon slowly looked away from the scene..not wanting to make anything oblivious as Hoseok himself quickly scans his eye to Mae.

She lowly let out a nervous chuckle while nibbling on her lip. "Ah, well...you see..."

"H-He's been doing good!" Jungkook butted in. "You know, he's studying to become a teacher at our old high school, or something ranked higher so he's just been busy."
