As we are driving, there is an awkward silence in the car. Obviously, as none of us even know who this guy is. To break the silence, Zoe asks, "So tell us a bit about yourself, where you from?"
"Well let me start by introducing myself. My name is Krish and I am from Melbourne" he says.
"NO WAY!" screams Hazel. "So are we. Wow this is called a coincidence".
"Yeah tell me about it. That's amazing", exclaims Crissie.
I don't know why but whenever he looks at me he gives this grin that makes his whole face glow and it is annoying me so much.
"So who are all of you guys?" He asks.
"So I am Gracie. And the one driving badly is Hazel".
"Oi watch it. I ain't that bad of a driver", shouts Hazel.
"Hi I'm Amy."
"Oh yeah she is the mother of the group", says Zoe.
"Shut up Zoe. Don't mind her she is the crazy one here. And hey I am Crissie".
Now he is looking straight at me to know my name. I can sense it. But me just being me, I wasn't gonna answer him. So Amy answers for me "Oh, and this is Allena".
"Wow Allena your name is just as beautiful as you are", Krish says.
I can feel my cheeks blushing badly and I don't look at him. I know I am being rude but I don't want to give him any signals of "I'm available".
Krish's POV
Wow, Allena is such a beautiful girl. Her light brown eyes look ravishing especially when the sun is shining straight at them. I am so sure that who ever has her as a partner is gonna be such a lucky guy.She is trying so hard to be rude and arrogant but it just doesn't suit her sweet, innocent face. She is really terrible at faking to be someone she isn't.
I have no idea why she is doing this and I think that at this stage I probably shouldn't even ask, after all, I only met her a short time back. But I really do hope I get to know her more during this trip.
(Krish's POV ended)After a couple of hours of driving and Krish cracking weird jokes we head for another stop because of course Hazel cannot he trusted behind the wheel for too long.
"Alright, who's driving next?" She asks
"Well, I don't mind to drive. Besides you guys gave me a lift. I can owe you this much", Krish offers.
"Sure if you're cool with it, we don't mind. Oh and by the way Allena, your gonna have to move to another seat. Me and Zoe are tired of sitting at the front. And plus you've been sitting at the very back for way too long".
"No, I think that I'm good-", I try to explain but I get cut off again.
"Yeah I agree", says Amy. "Besides, you're pretty much doing nothing back there, you might as well sit in the front".
"How about I sit in the middle seats?" I suggest.
"Nope we are too comfortable and we are not moving. Sorry it's the front. You don't have much of a choice here", says Crissie.
I can just see Krish smiling from ear to ear. I think to myself, how did all the girls become so eager to make me and him sit next to each other all of a sudden. But I just dismiss that thought.
So, seeing that I literally didn't have any choice at all I involuntarily had to sit next to him. Irritated I stuff my headphones in my ears longing for the drive to end and for him to go his way and us our way.
A few more hours of driving and breaks later, it's now beginning to get darker. We start looking for nearest hotels to stay for the night. After quarrelling with a handful, we manage to find one but they only had 2 rooms free.
All 6 of us girls could adjust between the 2 rooms but the question was were the hell was Krish going to sleep. Krish, noticing the problem suggested, "Hey, don't worry about me. I can sleep in the car tonight".
"No, no we'll work something out. You don't have to sleep in the car", Gracie says.
"No it's all good. Don't worry. Besides it's already past midnight, I doubt we can find any other hotels, so let's just make do with what we have. And besides, I have no problem sleeping in the car", he says.
After a little bit of arguing we all agree with Krish that he was going to sleep in the car for the night. I don't know why but I was feeling sorry for him.
Later during the night, I realise that Krish doesn't even have a blanket for himself. I silently pick up my blanket and walk out of the hotel to the parking lot. I see the car but I don't see Krish anywhere.
I knock on the window, "Krish, you there". All of a sudden I feel two hands on my shoulders and a "boo". I scream louder than expected. "What the hell was that for?" I scream.
"Oh nothing it's just a habit I have. When someone has their back to me I have an urge to scare them", he replies.
"Well I don't think that it's a pretty good habit to have. You almost gave me a heart attack", I say.
He starts to chuckle showing off his perfect jawline. "So what are you doing out here anyway?"he asks.
"Well I thought that you didn't have a blanket so I came to give you one", I say.
"Oh how thoughtful of you", he says. "Well care to join me inside the car for a quick cup of coffee", he asks.
Confused I ask him, "Coffee? At this time".
"Yeah, why not?" He says pointing to the takeaway coffee in his hand.
"Umm, I think I should really be getting inside now", I say.
"Oh come on, one coffee isn't gonna hurt", he insists.
Before I know it I am already sitting in the car sharing his coffee with him. I don't understand what it is that just draws me towards him.
It wasn't long before both of us stared dozing off to sleep while talking to each other. I didn't even realise when my head was resting on his shoulder and his arms were behind me. But I could say that it was one of the most peaceful sleeps I had in a long time.
