As John sits in math class he stares gloomily out the window. Totally bored. He looks back at the book on his desk. He sighs as he thinks to himself. This class sucks!
I live in an ordinary world and go to an ordinary school. Overall, my life is pretty ordinary, except, I wasn't born with an ability of my own. This is me. John.
"Who wants to come up and prove this law?" The teacher asks. John raises his hand. "John?" The teacher calls on him.
"Can I go to the bathroom?" John asks. His teacher sends him a death glare.
"Go ahead."
Whoa. Scary. John thinks.
"Hah! Don't die on your way there, Johnny Boy!"
"Mister Mardin!" The teacher throws a piece of chalk at him. John smirks to himself. "Perhaps you would like to volunteer."
John walks down the hallway towards the bathroom. His footsteps echo down and bounce off the walls. Tat. Tat.
Long blocks are so exhausting.
John hears a rumbling noise and looks over his shoulder to see what was causing the noise.
Boom! John watches in horror as someone is thrown into the lockers. Holy shit! He thinks to himself. I could have just died now!
"Um, h-hey?" John asks the person who is now sitting on the ground. "A-are you alright?"
The kid groans and stumbles back to his feet. John can tell that the teen in front of him is pissed off.
"Damn you Isen! That hurt!"
"You idiot! I lend you my pen for one class period and you go and break it!" Isen says as he points to the slightly bent metal clip.
"Yeah. But you didn't have to hit me so hard! That freaking hurt!"
Johns instincts tell him to run in the opposite direction. I think I will just use the other bathroom. John thinks as he runs in the opposite direction.
