Description:
Qiao Anhao and Lu Jinnian had secretly longed for each other for thirteen years, and now that there's a possibility for them to be together, even though the circumstances may be unconventional, neither one can refuse their inner desires any longer.
Hurled into a false marriage, Qiao Anhao treads carefully towards the cold and reclusive Lu Jinnian, but after years of near-missed opportunities and deep misunderstandings, how could their last shot at love possibly run smooth?
**"Nation Husband" is a Korean term awarded to a man who is perfect in the eyes of the public - an ideal husband.
O O O
This book is for people who love drama in relationships and those modern soap operas with heartbreak and misunderstandings that finally end with sweetness. If not, you might want to pass on this because the number of misunderstandings keeps going on and on that it'll frustrate you to no end but you'll still want to continue to see where it goes and if the main couple do find their happiness.
I thought it was nice that it wasn't as much about face-slapping or gaining fame and reputation like in other entertainment industry setting novels. Instead, it's about the couple trying to confess their feelings without misunderstanding the other.
Fair warning though, the male lead isn't always gentle or kind. Sometimes he's too forceful when he's extremely angry or jealous till it's considered abusive. I highly disapprove of his behavior, but due to my curiosity for the rest of the plot, I tended to just skim over those parts. But if you have no tolerance for a novel that has some abuse, I suggest passing on this one.
The manhua for this novel can be found on WebNovel too and it's pretty loyal to the novel's plot but still ongoing.
If you're into anime, you might want to try the Chinese melodrama anime for this. It's called Bringing Back Home Mr. Perfect. I think the second or third season is on youtube.
