I woke up and looked at my phone. I was only 7:30, so I jumped in the shower washing my hair and body. I let the water drip down my back and relax all my muscles.
I put my hair and body in a towel and walked to my closet. I grabbed jeans and a Pink Floyd tee. I blow dried my hair and put it in a pony tail. I put on some mascara and my boots. I grabbed my leather jacket and put it on fast as I walked towards my keys.
When I got in my car it was 9:00. New record. I drove over to Starbucks to pick up two coffees. One for me and one for Luke.
I pulled in his driveway and knocked on the door. Luke swung open the door as I shoved his warm coffee in his hand.
"Thanks. Umm come in I guess?"
I walked in and sat on the counter. He walked over by me and say across.
"I thought you might want a coffee, it's pretty cold outside. And I figured we could do something today."
"Thanks, and yeah totally!" he said, sipping from his cup of coffee.
"Well it's almost halloween and I figured we could go to the fall fair."
"Okay sure let me grab my jacket" he said getting up.
We walked to the car as I tossed him my keys "You drive"
We got in the car and sat there for a minute letting the engine and car warm up. I looked over at Luke, he looked so happy, so different when I first met him. We had only known each other for about 3 months but were already best friends.
"The drive is about 2 hours long and it's 10 so it will be open by the time we get there."
The drive consisted of small talk and Green day.
"Oo I love this song!" I squealed, turning up the radio as Teen spirt by Nirvana played loudly throughout the car.
When we pulled into the parking lot, which wasn't that bust quite yet, we got a front parking spot. We slowly got out of the car and made our way to the ticket booth.
"Awe you are a cute couple, that will be 20 dollars." she said, passing over our wrist bands.
My cheeks flustered red "We aren't dating." I replied slowly, pressing my lips to a thin line.
"Oh I'm sorry you guys just seem like you'd make a good couple."
We walked into the fair to see rides, concession stands, and fair games.
"Oh my god! Luke it's a house of mirrors! Let's go!" I said excitedly, tugging his arm.
We where walking around trying to find a way out when I banged my face against a clear glass wall.
"Ow!" I screeched, as Luke laughed at me historically.
We continued walking and end up bumping into each other
"Oh hey." I said, as my cheeks reddened as he was holding me in his arms.
"Hey." he smiled down, it would've been cute if he didn't make it awkward by pushing me and yelling "Race ya!"
"Oh no you don't!" I said running, before I ran right into a wall again. I finally found my way out. I looked around and saw Luke crawl out after me.
"Well that was fun" he huffed, his breath leaving a white mist in the cool crisp thin air.
"Yeah, most fun I had in a while." I smiled, at the memory that would last forever.
He pulled me into a hug "Well let's make some memory's then. Lets make it where you say 'that was the most fun I had today' okay." he spoke into my ear.
"Mhmm." I nodded into his chest.
We pulled away and walked around for a bit, riding rides and playing game.
"Hey look I won a penguin! Want it? Well guess what! You can't have it. It's MY penguin!" Luke said in a childish tone.
I laughed at him. We walked back to the car and I was 4.
"Wow. We stayed for 4 hours!" I breathed out.
On the drive back we stopped to get dinner. We stopped at this small little diner that looked cozy.
"Umm what do you want?" Luke said, looking up at me.
"I'll get the pot pie." I said to the waiter.
"I'll have the same" Luke said
"And to drink?" the waiter asked.
"Urr a coffee for me and..." I pointed to Luke as said "Another coffee." he said, looking up at the waiter.
"Okay 10 minutes." the waiter said, walking away.
