Mine (Bucky Barnes)

Chapter 1

Being on the run was hard. But being on the run from HYDRA was even harder. That's life for Talia Stark (soon to be Barnes) and Bucky Barnes. Bucky got taken by HYDRA in 1945 after falling off a train screaming Steve's name. Over the course of 71 years, Bucky was tortured, beaten, forced to become The Winter Soldier, forced to kill Tony and Talia's parents, and forced to forget his best friend. Talia was taken in 2008 after her brother revealed to the world that he is Iron Man. Over the course of 8 years, she was beaten, tortured, raped, forced to become another Winter Soldier, and forced to forget her brother. After her first solo mission (been with HYDRA for 6 years) HYDRA put her to work with Bucky. It wasn't supposed to happen but they fell for each other. After being together for a year Talia had their daughter Daniella Barnes. That's when they decided to run. But things had to change. They couldn't keep Daniella safe and be on the run.

"Talia we don't have to do this," Bucky said.

"Buck we have to. We would have to stop hiding. Stop running if we were to keep Dani safe. I know someone who will do this. Keep her safe. He's an old friend. Plus he'll let us see her whenever we want," Talia said.

"So you want to give her up?"

"Not completely where she won't ever see us again. To someone who will keep her safe and let us see her. Buck, I love her OK? I really love her but with us, on the run from HYDRA, we can't keep her with us. I can open a portal to my friend and we can always go and see her."

"I don't like it."

"I don't like it either but we have to do this. We give it a year. Daniella will be two by then. We can go back. Stop being on the run and spend the rest of our lives with Dani. One year Buck."

"One year."

Later in the day Talia, Bucky, and Daniella (who was asleep in Talia's arms) met Talia's friend in a little cafe down the street from their apartment.

"You must be Stephen," Bucky said.

"I am. You must be Bucky," Stephen said.

"Strange cut the tough guy act. You and I both know you're a real softy," Talia said.

"Shut it, Talia. What is it you need my help with," Stephen asked.

"Her," Talia said moving a little bit of the blanket on her arm to show Daniella sleeping.

"Is that your daughter?"

"Yes. Steph you know that Buck and I are on the run from HYDRA. We can't keep Dani safe while being on the run. We want her to stay with you. It'll only be for a year. One year then we can take her back."

"I'll do it. Are you going to come and visit?"

"Yes. We'll visit but Bucky and I can't be on the run with her."

Stephen took Daniella from Talia and held her in his arms.

"She looks like the both of you. Is there anything I need to know?"

"Daniella will not go to sleep without a lullaby sung to her. She also needs goodnight kisses and her bear. If she has a nightmare then she'll want to stay with you and sleep. She loves playing hide and seek. Bath times are a struggle but if you bubbles and toys in the bath she'll take one. Give her chocolate milk before bed. If she can't sleep then call us and we'll get her to go to sleep."

"Got it. I'll take care of her."

"You better or I will rip out your spleen," Bucky said.

Stephen walked out of the cafe with Daniella in his arms and her bag around his neck. Talia and Bucky went the other way looking back watching Stephen's body outline get smaller and smaller.

(One year later. 2016. Bucharest, Romania)

It's been a year. HYDRA hasn't found Talia and Bucky so they can only guess that HYDRA has stopped looking for them. But that changed when they came home and saw two people looking at a book. One was in a suit with the colors red, white, and blue and the other was in a suit of metal with the colors red and gold.

"Who are you," Talia asked.

"Talia," Red and gold asked.

"My fiance asked you a question so answer it," Bucky growled.

"Bucky," Red, white, and blue asked.

"How do you know us," Talia asked.

Steve, they're on the roof. They breach in ten.

"On the plane, you saved me Bucky. You have to remember that," Red, white, and blue said.

"Talia in 2008 you were stuck with me in a cave after some terrorist took us. When they tried to torture me you yelled at them to do it to you instead. Please remember that" Red and gold pleaded.

"Breach breach," Someone yelled.

A bomb came in front of Talia and Bucky as someone came through the window. Talia slammed the person's head against the wall a few times knocking them out as Bucky kicked the bomb and Red, white, and blue placed something over it containing the blast. More guys came in making Talia sigh. Talia threw a table in front of the door to block more guys from coming in and helped Bucky take care of the guys coming through the window when Red, white, and blue grabbed Bucky's arm and red and gold grabbed Talia's arm.

"You guys are going to kill someone."

"We're not going to kill anyone," Talia said.

Talia punched the wall beside red and gold's head and Bucky did the same. She threw her bag at Bucky who threw his and hers out the window across the street on top of the roof. They walked to the door and kicked it out fighting other guys who were there waiting. The other two followed them saying that they were going to kill someone. Bucky had Talia jump on his back then jumped over the railing of the stairs. He grabbed the railing two floors below and pulled himself and Talia up and over it. Talia was the first to run out the window, jump to the roof of the other building, land rolling, and grabbed her bag. Bucky followed after her and was right on her heels when someone ran at him and pinned him down.

"Talia go," Bucky yelled.

"Not without you," Talia yelled back.

She ran at the man and fought him as Bucky stood up. Talia kicked the legs out from the person and ran after Bucky to took off running holding her bag. They jumped off the building and took off running to this circle thing that showed the highway. Talia could hear someone running at them so she looked behind her seeing two people running at her and one flying. She looked at the highway below her then to Bucky.

"Jump," Talia said.
