Mine (Bucky Barnes)

Chapter 8

Fury, Talia, and Bucky ducked behind some crates to avoid being seen by HYDRA agents walking by.

"We need a new plan," Fury said.

"Ya think," Talia asked.

"OK new plan. Talia go send out a message to Strange, Maria, Phil, and the Avengers then go get him. Once Fury and I see you we'll start fighting. Can you find him and send out a message in 10 minutes," Bucky asked.

"Buck you forget who you are talking to."

Talia looked around the bin before she stood up and started to move. She made it to the control room and sighed. She found an open computer but could only send out one message in Morse code to who she needed.

"Think Talia. You can only send one message in Morse code what would you say? I got it. S.H.I.E.L.D taken need help. Avengers Assemble. Hurry."

Talia sent that message then stood up and ran to another room. The door was open but it was dark in the room. She carefully walked inside and looked around. What Talia couldn't see was green eyes following her until she felt something on her hand.

"Hey bud," Talia whispered, "I missed you. I'm sorry I haven't been by to see you but I need your help? Are you with me Toothless?"

The green eyes stared at Talia before they moved up and down. Talia smiled as she wrapped her arms around the dragon's neck. She got onto his back and looked at him.

"Are you ready bud?"

There was a small noise before they flew off. By the time they got back to Bucky and Fury they were already fighting with the Avengers, Maria, Phil, and Strange helping them. Talia looked around until she spotted Pierce by the control station.

"There Toothless. On three plasma blast. One, two, three. Now bud."

Toothless let out a big roar before shooting at some wooden boxes near Pierce setting them on fire. Toothless landed and Talia got off his back walking through the fire without it hurting her.

"I was right when we took you. You are a demon," Pierce said.

"Not a demon. Dragon scales are fireproof. Hence the walking through fire unharmed," Talia said.

She readied an arrow and waited. Waited for Pierce to move. To screw up.

"Call off the black thing. Or Barnes gets it. You thought I didn't think ahead. There are archers waiting to take him out. All they have to do is wait for my signal."

Talia looked up and saw archers in the rafters waiting with an arrow ready to fire. She sighed as she lowered her bow and move her finger a circular motion to Toothless. Toothless must have gotten the gist because he grunted as he walked away.

"All right Pierce. Let's talk," Talia said.

"You know you won't win right? Yes you may have a dragon and you may have the Avengers fighting with you but you don't have weapons to fight," Pierce said.

"You know Pierce you screwed up. See you forgot that when I was with HYDRA I taught Toothless movements with my hands to mean many different things. Remember the circular motion I did? That wasn't to tell Toothless to leave that was to tell him to attack. He now knows that HYDRA is bad and S.H.I.E.L.D is good. Now, look up."

Pierce did as said and saw his agents being thrown off the rafters. He looked back at Talia who had a smug look on her face with an arrow ready.

"Wanna try again? By order of S.H.I.E.L.D Alexander Pierce, you are under arrest. Down on your knees hands behind your head."

Talia tightened the grip on her bow when Pierce didn't do as told.

"Corporate with me Pierce and it will be much easier than having me shoot you."

It happened so fast. Pierce pulled out a gun and fired it at Talia but she was able to dodge the bullet and shot an arrow at Pierce. It hit him right in the heart killing him instantly. Talia walked up to him and pulled the arrow out of his chest placing it back into her quiver. Toothless came back up to Talia and looked at her.

"I'm OK bud. Come on. Let's go help the others."

Talia got onto his back and sighed. Toothless shot off into the ceiling flying around. Looking around Talia could see that everyone was fighting in groups and doing OK until her eyes landed on her brother. He was alone and had about 30 agents fighting him.

"There bud. Drop me off then go help those who need it."

When they got close enough Talia jumped off of Toothless' back and ran at an agent throwing him over the rails.

"Why are you helping me," Tony asked.

"Because you may not consider me your sister but you've always been my brother. And I'm not gonna let you get hurt."

Talia shot an arrow at an agent running to them before dropping her bow and started using hand to hand combat. She was doing good till one agent hit her right on her two broken ribs. A sharp pain went through her side and Talia screamed. The pain was too much. Talia couldn't register what was going on. Voices surrounded her but she was trying to find that one voice that always calmed her. Where was Bucky?

Bucky had just knocked out the last agent with Fury when he heard someone shout: "Talia's down! I need a medic!" He didn't care that he left Fury behind. All he cared about was that his wife was down. Once he made it Talia he saw her on the ground clutching her side crying. Bucky kneeled next to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Talia I'm right here. I'm right here. I need you to calm down Talia. Listen to my voice. Focus on my voice. I need you to tell me what hurts," Bucky said.

"Ribs," Talia choked out.

The pain was too much and all Talia wanted to do was sleep. She was even so close to falling asleep when Bucky shook her shoulder.

"Talia I need you to stay awake. OK? Stay awake for Dani, for Pietro, for Fury, for Maria, for Strange, for Phil, and for me. Stay awake for me. Please baby? Stay awake for me."

"'M tired. Wanna sleep."

"You can sleep after. Just please stay awake."

But Talia couldn't do it. The pain became too much and Talia went unconscious. Bucky's voice at the back of her mind.
