I woke up to being shaken by Heath, opening my eyes as I groaned softly under my breath. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes a bit, in the attempt to have clearer version again. Once I could see clearly, I saw everything was dark already. I looked up at the sky and saw the faint stars with the full moon at its highest point, and suddenly I felt my mouth start to water and my vision changed to seeing black and white with hints of red. I heard Scar next to me howl as Heath stood next to me and helped me up from my sitting on the floor.
"Time to eat Madeline. Let's go now while it's still night. It's only 3 am." Heathen said as the colors of his eyes changed to his mood and his face went stern and lustful of what he craved. I nodded and felt something attached to my hand. I look down and see that my glove was on now. I look down to Scar, kneeling down to him, "I'll be back home, go now and stay okay, boy?" He barked pleased and nodded once as he went back to the house we call home.
We walked straight out of the clear area we were in and out of the woods. We found an abandoned road as no cars were in sight and walked along side it. Not long we found the neighborhood of the quiet area and observed the houses. "Madeline, over there." Heath said, pointing out a small beige house, with lights turned off. From where we were, Heathen scanned the place and found a sleeping couple in the master room, as well as a child locked away in the basement of the house. The child, I could feel it, radiating off pain and sadness caused by the neglectful parents. I growled softly as Heathen signaled us to go over to the house. We stalked our way as we prepared to eat. "Which do you want?" Heathen asked as we stood by the window of the parents' room. I gestured to the man; I felt my vision go black as flashes of what's happened here shined through.
"Mommy, why would you let dad hurt me? I behaved! I did everything right this time! I have the money mommy please!" a little boy shouted, crying to his mother, who only slapped him down to the ground. "It isn't the right amount you little shit, that's why! You didn't listen to him, I told you what would happen. You deserved it. Now, here's the next block. Take it and get the right amount this time." She placed a white block of cocaine in the boy's hand as he got up, sniffling and wiping stray tears and put it in his bag. "Yes, mommy."
My vision came back and I found myself at the foot of the bed, facing the father. Heathen stood beside me, staring at the lady known to the boy as Mommy. I leaned down and placed my free hand onto his chest, over his heart and pressed down, enchanting his body to be paralyzed so he couldn't move. He woke up to the feeling of his chest feeling closed in and tried to speak but only mumbled covered screams of fear and anger. I smirked and leaned down over him, whispering into his ear, "Silly silly little boy, you will now be my new toy." Everything went red in my eyes as I raised my gloved hand, ready to feed.
I stood back up and slashed his chest deep as he ached and screamed his muffled agonizing screams and blood spread out of his chest cavity onto his sleeping whore and the walls of the room and onto me. I licked the blood off of one of the knives, "Bitter, tainted, just the way I accept it." I smirked as I sliced up each limb, separating each veins with each cut, spilling more blood each second until I finally stuck my knives into the center of his chest and cut out a circle. I reached in and with him, miraculously still awake, slowly pulled out his heart until it was fully out, sealing his fate with death.
My necklace glowed deeply and proudly as I placed the heart in front of it and it vanished within my necklace. I looked over at Heathen and his work. She had deep bite marks and scratches surrounding her neck and arms and chest as he was draining her blood into his mouthful of sharpened teeth. He finished as he sucked the remaining drops of blood off of his fingers, "Is it time to go yet? Have you finished Madeline?" He asked as his eyes cooled down back to the grey ones he had before. I shook my head and started walking out the door until I found the basement door, "The boy, Luka, his soul is pure no matter how much his parents tried to taint it. He needs to leave this." I said to Heathen, not looking at him as I opened the door to the basement silently.
I found Luka, on old blankets on an hole-covered mattress, with his tear-stained face, snoring softly. "Only 9 years old, and suffering too much. It needs to change." I sat beside his sleeping, bruised up, fragile body and placed my free hand on top of his warm brown, mop like hair, as I chanted:
ultra agone constituti ultra dolorem, vos non interfuimus, experti sumus, et donec tempus pertranseat. Hic est finis tormentis et faciem beatitudinem
I left a kiss on his forehead as his breathing stopped for one second, and restarted as he had awaken, with no more sadness. "Hi, Madeline, thank you." Luka smiled softly as he sat up and hugged me. I nodded and patted his head and stood up. I took my hand out for him as he took it and stood up. "Let's go, we're leaving this place." I walked hand in hand with little Luka and went up the stairs, meeting up with Heathen. "It's time Madeline, we'll have to see Evelyn for Luka, but we have to go now." I nodded and the three of us made our way out of the house and back into the woods, heading home.
