Today is the day that decides my future. That's the first thought that comes to mind when I wake. I get out of my gray sheets and slip off my gray pajamas for my usual gray, loose-fitting dress and cardigan that is buttoned up all the way to my neck. If you couldn't tell already, I am from Abnegation. I cannot wait to be out of this hell hole. Ever since 4 years ago, I have been beaten to no end by my father, Marcus Eaton. My older brother Tobias used to be beaten instead of me. But, when he left for Dauntless, my father turned to me. The only reason I was really staying sane was because of my only friend, Beatrice Prior. Then, she had her choosing ceremony and I never saw her again. I don't know where she transferred to. I am transferring to Dauntless today. So, as a last form of rebellion, I leave my bed unmade, don't wash my plate from breakfast, and open the mirror. When Marcus gets home, he will see my signs, but it will be too late. I will be out of here forever. Thank god. I've been planning this day since I was 12 years old. When I walk up to that stage, I am going to look him straight in the eyes and mouth, 'See you in hell' as my blood drops into the coals. I am over the moon with excitement and bliss. Hopefully, I will find my brother. I miss him. Then, I remember one last thing I can do a rebellion. When Tobias and I were young, we had a picture printed of us. I kept it hidden in my room all these years. Now, I take it from the bottom of my dresser drawer and set it on top of my pillow. I hope that bastard sees it and hits the wrong person. Then, he will finally get justice for what he has done.
