(Aquantis' POV)
Pre-wedding day jitters. When people brought it up talking about their big day, I only thought it was something small they went through. I thought they were only exaggerating, but boy was I wrong. That's what I was feeling the whole morning since I woke up. All I could do was worry about every little thing. My friends tried to calm me down while they were helping my hired stylist get me ready. "Aquantis, girl, breathe. Everything is fine. Your mom had everything finalized yesterday." Brenda said, trying to calm me down.
"Yeah, don't worry, love. Everything is just perfect for today." Bianca said while standing beside me.
"Thanks, guys. I'm just a little nervous for today." I say shyly, and smoothing down any imaginary wrinkles in my dress.
"It's alright, hun. Your mom, Bianca and I have everything under control when we were planning this." Brenda said again to reassure me. I heard the door to our make-shift dressing room, which was literally a random room at the venue we've chosen, and Asiya came in. "Oh my gosh, you made it!" I yelled standing up to give her a hug.
"Of course, I can't miss one of my friends getting married." She said while hugging me.
"Now, I have all my girls here." I said, while suddenly getting emotional.
"Oh, don't cry now, girl. Save the tears for later." She said while laughing, which caused all of us to laugh. All of us had a short little reunion before it was soon time for us to get ready.
Asiya had her bride's maid dress due to the other girls telling her about it. I had already got a dress for her, so Bianca and Brenda must have gave it to her without me knowing.
My stylist came back to me to touch up any makeup that messed up a bit. Afterwards, she made small touches to my hair to make sure everything was ready to go.
As it was getting closer to me walking down the aisle, I started freaking out. "Hey girls, have any of you seen my mom? She's supposed to be here by now to walk me down." I said, while starting to pace in the room.
"Don't stress, I'll head out and see if I can find her." Brenda stated, before leaving the room.
"Oh, god." I said, while taking a seat on the chair where I previously was getting my hair and makeup done.
"Hey, everything will be fine, Aquantis." Asiya came to me and rubbed my back comfortingly. I tried to take deep breaths to calm my racing heart. After a couple of minutes there were hesitant knocks on the door. "Could it be my mom?" I ask. Both Asiya and Bianca shrugged their shoulders. Bianca walked to the door and opened it up, but I could only see the look of confusion on her face. "Um, who are you?" I heard her ask. I furrowed my brows and stood from my chair to accompany her at the door with Asiya behind me. Bianca opened the door wider once I reached it and I took a peek at who it was. "D-Dad?" I stuttered out, feeling my throat getting tight and warmth under my eyes. After that, the girls stepped out understanding that I needed a few minutes alone with my dad. Once the door closed I felt warm tears going down my cheeks.
"Oh, Pumpkin." When the old nickname left his lips, a sob managed to escape mine. He walked forward and engulfed me into a hug. "I'm so sorry for not being in your life more. I know there were many times that I needed to be there for you. All the times you were hurting, I should have been there for you. And, I'm so sorry for not at least doing that. I feel like such a bad father to you, but nothing has made me happier than to see the strong woman my daughter has grown into. I'm so proud of you for being so strong. Now, my baby girl is all grown up and getting married. From now on I hope to be part of your life more, so whenever you need me you can come to me." By now, both of us were a mess of tears throughout his speech. I pulled back a bit and he raised his arms up and used his thumbs to wipe my tears. I smiled, while also letting out small giggles, and wiped his tears.
"Of course you can, dad. I still need you around, it's not entirely too late." I said, while sniffling.
"Well, let's get you fixed up, so I can get you down the aisle." He smiled. I returned his smile, and before anything was said, there was a knock on the door before opening. It was the girls coming back in along with my stylist. "Alright, let's get you fixed up." My stylist said while taking me to the chair. The girls waited patiently with small smiles on their faces. After the touch ups, I stood and hooked my arm around my dad's. We all walked out with my dad and I following behind. The groom's men, being Bianca, Brenda and Asiya's boyfriends, were waiting at the entrance. The girls went up to their respectful man and got ready. The wedding planner showed up and smiled at all of us. "Are you all ready?" She asked. The girls and guys nodded along with smiles, before she came up to me. "And the bride, how are you feeling?"
"I'm as ready as ever." I smiled.
"Alright." She smiles, then the doors were both opened. My father and I stood off to the side, so that we join together before he walks me down. One by one, the three couples walked down, my cousin's kids being my ring bearer and flower girl followed them.
The wedding planner then gave my dad and I a thumbs up, which meant it was time. I took a deep breath in and out before joining my dad in the middle. From just inside I can hear the sounds of multiple people standing up. We walk forward pass the door, and all eyes were on us, well...on me. I look forward towards the alter where I see the girls and guys are, including Aidan, who's up there waiting for me.
I smile while passing everyone down the aisle. As I near the front rows my mom is standing right at the edge of the row closest to me. Tears well up in her eyes as do mine and I quickly reach for her hand and she squeezes it before letting go. My dad walks me up a bit while Aidan comes down. My dad passes my hand to Aidan's, he squeezes both our hands before reluctantly letting go to stand beside my mom. Aidan and I walk up the final step to the alter and the ceremony commences.

Very very very sorry for the late update. I've not had any motivation to write this story for a awhile. Mostly due to how I want this second book to go plot wise. But now I think I've got some basic structure for it so I'll try to update more.
Thank you to you all who have waited.
Also I'd love to get more connected with my readers, so if you'd like leave a song suggestion in the comments.
