(Aidan's POV)
I woke up the next morning and noticed Aquantis was still asleep. I kissed her forehead before deciding to get up to get ready. Once I was freshened up I went downstairs and made us some breakfast.I walked back up with a tray containing our plates and brought it up to the room. Champ, who's dog bed was placed in the corner of her room, woke up. I set the tray on the night stand on my side and went over to him. "Come here, Champ." I whispered. He got up and I brought him downstairs where his food bowl was. I got out his food and put a cup full of it in his bowl. I changed his water bowl and left him to eat and went back up. I sat down on her side and lightly shook her awake. "Hey, lovebug?"
"Hmm." She turned over so she was facing me and I caressed her cheek. "Can you get up? I made us breakfast."
"What..? I could've made some for us." She said, the sleepiness still in her voice.
"It's alright, you've been busy with planning everything so you needed some rest."
"Well, thank you, Hun." I smiled at her and got up to get the food off the night stand while she sat up. I sat the tray on the bed and she sat Indian style so I could sit in front of her.
*time skip after breakfast*
Once we were finished I brought the tray with our plates down while Aquantis went to change and freshen up. While I washed the dishes I heard footsteps come downstairs and walk into the kitchen. "Hey Aidan, do you think you can call the relatives we sent invitations to? I just want to know if there are any that can't make it so we don't have to pay more for extra tables."
"Yeah, sure thing. You have a list of the people we invited, right?"
"Yep, I'll leave that for you and I'm going to start booking the venues and call a wedding planner."
"Alright, I'll meet you in the living room."
"Okay." She left the kitchen as I dried my hands on the dish towel. I grabbed the list she set on the counter and went to grab my phone before going to join her in the living room.
(Aquantis' POV)
Once I was seated on the couch I called the wedding planner first to schedule her for these two weeks. When I was done talking to her, I called the venues' office and asked to book it for the wedding reception. When I finished talking to them I marked them off the list I had made in preparation of the wedding. I smiled and caught sight of the engagement ring. I spun it round my finger and admired it and thought of the day Aidan had proposed.*flash back*
It was just after the graduation ceremony and I had already greeted my mom when she looked at something or rather someone behind me. I turned around and saw Aidan with a bouquet of roses. Now, the tears came back. "Here you go, beautiful."
"Thanks babe."
"Wait! I'm not done."
"What is it?" He got on his knee and the people around us gasped including me. He pulled out a little box and opened it revealing a beautiful silver diamond encrusted ring. The tears now started to freely fall from my eyes. "Aquantis, you are my one and only. I love you to the moon and back. You make me smile every time I'm near you. You brighten up my world with just one look at you. But I want you in my world forever. Aquantis, will you marry me?" I smiled at him and nodded. He stood up and I wrapped him in a tight hug. He pulled away, but he was still close. He pulled the ring out and slipped it on my finger. I smiled at it in awe and kissed him.
*flashback end*
"Babe? Aquantis?"
"Huh?"
"Are you okay? You're crying."
"Ah, really?"
"Yeah, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I was just thinking of when you proposed to me and I guess it made me cry."
"Well, if you're crying already from just seeing the engagement ring I wonder how many pools you'll fill with your tears at the wedding." I gasped and hit his arm with the pillow beside me.
"You're so mean to me!" I pouted and folded my arms.
"Aww, c'mon, I was kidding. You know I love you."
"Hmm fine, I forgive you for now."
"See, you can't resist me." He tilted his head up a bit with a confident smile plastered on his lips.
"Hey, don't push it." I playfully warned him. He chuckled and pulled me into his lap, which I allowed him to do. "All jokes aside though, I really do love you, you know that? And even to this day I feel like everything is re-winded back to the day I met you. All the feelings I had since we got together always come back every time I see you. I'm just so glad that you agreed to marry me or else I don't know what I would have done. These past four years I spent with you have been great and I'm happy we can continue, year after year, with each other." I felt the hot tears leaving my eyes and I smiled at him.
"Gosh, Aidan. Stop making me cry." I said, while lightly pushing his shoulder. He chuckled and I felt his hands come up to help me wipe my tears. "I'm sorry, I just needed to tell you that."
"I know, and I can't tell you how much I adore and love you, but when I do it literally scares me. It scares me how far I'll go just to make sure you're happy. But I guess that's what happens when you're in love and I can't think about spending my life with someone other than you." We both smiled lovingly at each other until we both heard paws hitting the floor. Champ came running in and he jumped onto my lap. "Ah, I guess Champ wanted to join in, right buddy?" Aidan said, as Champ happily wagged his tail. I giggled and leaned more into Aidan's arms and pet Champ as he laid down. I felt a hand squeeze my hip and I looked up at Aidan. "What is it?"
"I love you."
"I love you, too." He leaned down and I close the gap between us. We both pulled away when we felt a big wet swipe on our cheeks. I giggled and saw Champ sitting up and staring at us. "We love you too, Champ." Aidan said. I smiled and thought of our wedding and how I couldn't wait until the day it arrived.
