I walked down the busy street, my arm hooked on his. It was a beautiful spring day, trees and flowers blossoming all around us. A shiver ran down my spine as a slight breeze blew through my hair.

He noticed and took off his coat, wrapping it around my figure. He looked down at me and smiled, a sparkle in his eyes. Everything seemed so perfect.

Too perfect...

As if on cue, clouds darkened the sky, giving an edge to the atmosphere. Everything looked so ominous. Nervousness crept into my stomach. The weather seemed to be getting worse by the second. The wind got stronger, the trees whipping their branches as if at war with the sky. I squinted at him, protecting my eyes from the flying dust. His hair was whipping at his face, a dark, evil look in his eyes. I couldn't recognize him.

"Drake!" I had to scream to be heard over the howling of the wind. "We need to find someplace to take shelter!"

He didn't answer. He stared forward as if in a trance. Slowly, he turned to face me.

Scared, I started stumbling backwards to try to get away from him. My foot caught on something, causing me to fall. He stalked towards me, unaffected by the strength of the wind. He grabbed at me, his hands reaching for my neck -

I shot up out of bed, gasping for air, feeling the ghost of his hands still on my neck. Slowly, my breathing calmed, my eyes adjusting to the darkness of my bedroom. It was around 2 am and the entire house was silent. I heard the wind howling outside my window. Maybe that's why I heard the wind...

I got up out of bed and limped downstairs to get myself a cup of water, grabbing my phone on the way. I checked my phone for messages and saw that Jas had texted me.

Jas: Hey, you fell asleep while we were watching the show, so I left. The rest of the food is in the fridge for whenever you want it. I hope you're feeling better.

Drake. Right...

I texted Jas back a thank you for taking care of me. I scrolled through my messages and saw that Jungkook had also texted.

Jungkook: Hey, is everything okay? Sorry I ran out so quickly...

I thought back to the events of yesterday, a shiver running down my spine. It was so triggering, Drake showing up at my house after so long. I didn't like it. Why did he have to come back?

I felt nervous being in the house by myself. I remembered my parents had gone away for the week, so I was home alone.

I texted Jungkook back asking if he could come over. I knew Jas and Liv would be asleep since they were basically grandmas and went to sleep early.

I jumped at the sound of a notification on my phone. I guess I was right to text Jungkook in the middle of the night.

20 minutes later, we were sitting in the living room. I had just finished describing the nightmare as Jungkook listened intently. We sat in silence, Jungkook soaking in what I had just told him.

"It seems like you've been traumatized by something he's done," he finally said. "Was this some type of memory?"

I shook my head shakily, my knees curled up to my chest. "I don't like feeling this way. I feel like everything just rushed back."

"It's okay. I'm here if you need me." We sat in a comfortable silence for a bit, my mind swirling with flashes of the nightmare. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't notice that Jungkook had moved closer to me in an effort to comfort me. I jumped as he wrapped his arms around me in a hug, soon relaxing at the warmth of his body. I felt reassured as I breathed in his scent, snuggling more into his embrace.

I started feeling nervousness in my stomach as I felt the tension in the air change. I backed up a little to look at him. My heart started beating more quickly, the temperature of the room feeling hotter by the second.

He stared back at me as if he was memorizing every feature of my face. His eyes finally landed on mine and I felt him lean closer. I closed my eyes, waiting. I didn't realize when the feelings grew. It seemed like I was waiting for this moment for years, even though we hadn't known each other for more than a week.

I felt a soft kiss on my lips, full of emotion. I opened my eyes to look at him. I thought he didn't like me. He was so confusing ever since the hiking trip.

"I've wanted to do that for a while now," he whispered. "That's what I came here to tell you yesterday, but we kept getting interrupted."

"I thought you didn't like me. You were acting really weird when we were packing sandwiches for the hiking trip," I said, a little confused.

"I just didn't know how to act. That's why Tae left us alone and I got really awkward and nervous."

I giggled at that. "Awe how cute," I pinched his cheeks, making him blush. "I'm glad you told me."

"Yeah, me too," he smiled. "So where were we?" He smirked as he leaned towards me.

The rest of the night was filled with lots of bonding and more sweet kisses as we ended up falling asleep on the couch.
