Familiar

The "incident" happened last school year, and now Im thankfully in my senior year as a grade 11 student.

Me, Mira and Nika decided to transfer to another school, so we could experience a new environment naman. It was hard moving to a new school since my previous school was my school eversince I was in preschool, so it held many good and bad memories.

And not to mention, that I met Kyrious there. Pero yun naman talaga diba? At some point we have to eventually let go of something or someone at some point of our lives.. para rin naman sa ikabubuti..

"Saang club kayo sasali?" Mira said.

Nasa hallway kami, at isa-isa naming nasalubong ang mga studyante na naglalakad patungo sa club na gusto nilang salihan.

"Sa Modeling siguro" sabi ni Nika.

"Ikaw ba Clare?"

"Dun sa photography at filming" I said.

Yes, I slowly started to love taking pictures and editing videos last summer. My Dad even bought me a camera! And I was so happy.

"Buti pa kayo, Ako hindi ko alam kung sa'an ako sasali huhu" Mira said dramatically.

"Pwede namang sa Dance and singing club, magaling ka naman sumayaw!"

"pero may audition pa yon eh!"

"Sus! Kaya mo yan, Me and Clare will watch and support you." Nika said, and Mira slowly smiled.

"Talaga?"

"Oo promise, magpa-banner pa kami eh." I said and we chuckled.

We split paths and headed to our desired clubs individually.

I went into the classroom that has a sign outside saying 'photography and filming'. There were some short discussions and they even gave us a task to do, such as taking a picture of anything and submitting it next week.

Nika texted that they were also done kaya napag-isipan naming pumunta kay Mira.

As we entered the theatre, we got seated at the back kasi nasa unahan yung mga nag audition.

We saw Mira with nervousness plastered on her face, kumaway kami sa kanya na namataan din naman kami agad and when her eyes drifted to us her face suddenly eased a little. We mouthed 'kaya mo yan' with our fist clenched trying to encourage her, and she smiled.

"Okay, next performer, number 9." The emcee announced. Kaya naman bumaling yung atensyon namin sa stage, kung saan may isang lalaki na may hawak na gitara while positioning his microphone to get it leveled on his mouth.

I looked at Nika who was beside me jaw dropped, habang natulala sa lalaki sa stage. And I cant lie, he was very handsome! Even handsome than Kyrious. Wait, What? San galing yun?!

I eyed him head to toe and there I realized his figure looked familiar..

But my thoughts got interupted when he strum his guitar, starting the song he was about to sing.. he strumed it like a pro at dinilaan nya yung ibabang labi nya. He looked so cool and I cant help but be amused.

Pero nong kumanta na sya, thats when my jaw dropped too. He was closing his eyes, na parang damang-dama talaga ang kanta.

"You dont have to wait..

Unti-unti nyang binuksan yung mga mata nya, at tumutok agad yun sa kinaroroonan ko. At first I didn't assume that it was me he was looking at, because it was impossible since we're far away from the stage.

Pero ang mga mata nya ay parang gumawa ng kanyang sariling daan para maka punta sakin.

"I know u think it ain't my place
 To say how I feel,
 but Im gonna say it anyway,

He gave a playful smile, and winked at me!!

"I know you're tired of trying,
To make it be, something its truely not.. "

He closed his eyes again trying to feel the song.

"But girl it kills me everyday,
  To see you in tears and it amazes me
  The way, you put up all these years.."

He was still closing his eyes, like he was engrossed with the song, while Im here mesmerized with everything. Napansin ko ring ganon din yata ang lahat ng nandon, eyes were on him like he was the only star in the sky.

"You be tweakin tryna make it work,
  But you keep ending up hurt oh baby
  Listen to me.. yeahh"

"You dont have to wait, I can ease your pain, you dont have to be left out in the rain.. dont you say you're fed up, tired of love, whatever u need I got it, come with me.."

Pinikit ko ang aking mga mata at dinama na rin yung kanta..

"You dont have to stay up waiting by the phone, you wont have to ever.. feel like you're alone, dont you say you're fed up tired of love.."

"whatever u need, I got it come with me.. ohh" He ended the song and received lots of claps from audiences, at mga tili'an narin. I heard praises left and right, but here I am still stunned.

He bowed infront to where the judges are, and scanned through the audiences like he was finding someone.. at kung hindi ako nagkakamali it landed on mine.

His brown eyes stared at me for a second until he went down..

Nika was looking at our backs at parang nagtataka.

"Bakit parang palagi syang tumitingin dito banda?" She asked

Ewan, hindi ko rin alam bakit palagi syang tumitingin dito at kung bakit feeling ko sa akin pa-diretso yung tingin nya.. but I know for sure na he was just looking randomly diverting his attention to something to ease his nervousness, so he looked this way. Meaning his looks didnt mean a thing..

Pero bakit parang dismayado ako? I mentally slapped myself, at Binalewala ko nalang yung mga naiisip ko..

Basta ang alam ko lang, he looked familiar..

Atleast I think he was..
