The Second Battle of Mars

Gravity, a force so strong it overpowers even light itself. That was what the Cosmo Navy fought against, an unstoppable force capable of destroying planets and force a race into submission.

The battle for Mars had reached it's climax, and now Earth is on it's final push with the whole Fleet gathered from every inch of the globe. The Russians and their Akula-class, the Americans and their bizarre Galaxy-class heavy cruisers and the Japanese Mikasa-class battleships.

The second wave of ships were the new Akizuki-class guided missile destroyers and the Iowa-class battleships as long range support.

By using the debris on Mars and remains of ships floating around the red planet, the Cosmo Navy created obstacles for the Garmillas advance. It has been confirmed that the enemy is observing their every move and the build-up of defence on Mars becomes alarming enough for another attack.

By now, the Empire had sent more ships to the Solar System in preparation to terra-form the other planets and there has been one expedition force sent to Jupiter to set up camp there. The purpose mainly to rearm and refuel any galactic ships passing through, heading for Earth. Pluto had changed so much that it's no longer an empty dwarf planets. The planet bombs were launched by the Garmillas occupants there while there has been no major bombardment like the usage of Interplanetary Ballistic Missile mainly to decimate life at a significant level.

The young Juzo Okita had requested to set one of the Akizuki-class to be his flagship, the Suzutsuki.

"Bridge, this is CIC. The vanguard force has engaged the enemy. They entered the field of debris and the Akatsuki-class have engaged them. 20 Garmillas ships confirmed down."

"Good. Keep watch on-"

".. what?"

There were continuous chatter in the CIC and the crew panicked, Juzo wanted a SITREP and there was a short pause before the Weapons' Officer replied back.

"There are numerous warp outs detected, Admiral. The numbers are now 150 and increasing.. they outnumber our vanguard. And the defensive perimeter has been breached- new update, our forces are experiencing heavy casualties. All the Akula-class tried to tank for the rest. Only a handful of the Galaxy-class survived and the rest of the Mikasa-class have withdrew while laying down covering fire. Allies are requesting immediate assistance."

The bad news shocked even the Admiral himself, he puts up the tactical map and looks at the current position of the vanguard and the enemy. He devises a plan and rallied the strategy to the support fleet and the vanguard.

Lieutenant Commander Romel entered the Veridia's bridge and looked at the men saluting him before continuing their duty. He stood on his battle station and asked for an update.

"We are now entering the Terron's defense area. They have setup a variety of debris to block our advance."

Romel looked at the screen displaying the image, the Terron ships were cowering behind their protection like mice cornered by a cat.

"Send in our destroyers to find alternate routes to reach the Terrons."

The Astro Destroyers left their formation and approached the debris field, entering the vast maze of steel. Cosmo Navy fighters have been deployed while the Japanese destroyers lies in wait for their targets.

"Terron destroyers detected..!" the moment they found the ambush, the destroyers have already fired their torpedoes and large caliber guns on the Garmillas ships' bridge and combat station. All the Kripitera-class Astro destroyers were crippled and and rendered useless, in addition the Cosmo Navy fighters; the Cosmo Tiger fired countless missiles to cause destruction on the disabled Garmillas vessels.
