Before I introduce you to some interesting characters, I think I must get you up to speed with the different species. Now, don't worry, I have sought permission from Belinda, the snake queen, that it is okay for me to share this with you. I shall try to keep this as simple as possible...
Firstly, there are two types; humans and avatars:
Humans They can die and age normally unless using a spell. Some humans do have extra abilities like witches, demon hunters and magi. Most humans are not permitted to know about the Avatar world and any knowledge has consequences. Usually, the only humans that are aware of the avatars are high level magi or demon hunters.
AVATARS: There are two types of avatars, defined by how they shift and whether they still have a soul; shifters and spiriters.

Shifters They can die but age very slowly. This group can shift between their human form and animal, (i.e. merpeople, werewolves, werecats) using light magic and are most poweful during a full moon. Depending on their animal form relates to what ability they have:
* Merperson: weather manipulation (i.e. lightening, ice, sun and rain), swimming and breathing underwater. Shift into a merperson with a fish tail, gills and silver eyes (occasionally fully shift into a large fish).
* Werewolf: superstrength, tracking/navigation, love manipulation. Shift into a large size fox creature with gold eyes.
* Werecats: super speed, dexterity, healing purr. Shifts into a black panther type creature with emerald eyes.
There once was berserkers (werebear) too. Perhaps they still exsist but hidden under the cloak of a protection spell.
During the horrific massacres, the kitsune were the first to be wiped out. But the fox shifter is famous for their power of deception and mind control. If anyone could trick the world into believing they all died, it would be them. The kitsune were once the most powerful of all, but they were caught off guard.
