Chapter 11 - Strange Occurrences

As the clock ticked by in the silence of the night, his thoughts were similar to its strangeness. He couldn't figure out the solution for the life of him!

Ansh sat on his bed thinking over the incident at the pool. There was no way he could have mistaken the worry and care that he saw in his elder twin's eyes. 'I know what I saw. I'm sure that he cares for me, for our family.' he stood up in frustration. 'But if he does, then why hide it? Why try to show that he doesn't give a damn! Why does he pretend to be the bad guy!? This doesnt make any sense!' he let out an angry growl.

"What are you thinking so hard about bhai?" asked Saara, as she came into his room.

"Its nothing siso. Just thinking about something related to work."

She smiled coyly and sat beside him "Bhai, you're the worst liar ever! Now stop lying and tell the dearest of your little sister what has been eating your mind."

He rolled his eyes. "You're my only little sister."

"Whatever! Speak!"

Ansh sighed. He knew his little sister was as stubborn as he. She wouldn't leave the topic until she finds the truth. 'Come to think of it, she deserves to know about Sanskar too. He is also her brother after all.'

"Saara, you already know the real truth about the incident at the pool, don't you?" he continued when she nodded. "But you don't know some minute details. Me and Sanskar jumped to save Ragini and Vivek, and we managed to pull them to the edge."

"I heard. For a moment I was worried you would get into trouble yourself."

He nodded

He nodded. "We managed to pull them out. However, I was so exhausted that I almost fell back under the water."

Saara's eyes widened in fear for her brother's life. "What!?"

"Don't worry. Nothing happened. Sanskar pulled me out."

At once, Saara stood up and looked at him shell-shocked "Sanskar? The same Sanskar that hates us?!"

"Yes. Not only that. After we both got out, he talked with me like...like when he was a part of the family. It felt as if we were brothers again." Ansh reminisced with a soft nostalgic smile. "But then...then, he just ran away without a word!"

"No bhai, don't let him fool you. I'm sure there was some hidden intent behind his actions. That black sheep is a selfish jerk! He thinks of no one but himself!"
