Chapter 48 - Dead or Alive?

Saara paced back and forth outside the closed room. She was under guard duty for Prasanth.

Laksh, Vivek, Karan and her elder brothers had gone to find Ragini. She wanted to go as well since Ragini was inj danger. But her brothers didn't want anything to happen to her. Hence, they made her stay back and guard Prasanth.

However, it had been some time they left. Saara was getting restless. They hadn't called and neither had they come back. 'I hope everything is alright. Ragini, Sanky, Ansh bhai...please be okay!'

"Are you attempting to drive a hole through the floor by pacing?" commented Kriti, as she reached Saara.

"Kriti? You here? Where's Swara?"

Kriti scoffed. "Swara went home early, which I'm sure has something to do with those stubborn cousins of hers! Ugh!" Kriti shook her head in frustration. "Hence, I decided to search for you. I searched all over the campus, and yet here is where I find you? What are you doing here in this secluded section? That too, alone?"

"Kriti.... Kriti I'm really worried about Ragini and the rest."

On Kriti's quizzical look, Saara began explaining everything.

"I see." Kriti nodded, placing a hand on Saara's shoulder. "Hey, chill girl. I'm sure they will be able to save Ragini. If something had happened they would have called Swara or you. But they haven't called either. I'm sure they just forgot to call, too busy chatting on their way here."

"I hope you are right Kriti. I don't know why but I feel really restless!"

Kriti pulled Saara into a hug. "Like I said, chill." she looked at the closed room behind Saara. "You told me about them. But still doesn't explain why you chose to wait here."

Saara sighed in frustration. "My stupid macho brother and Laksh kidnapped Prasanth and put him here. I'm guarding him."

Kriti blinked..... And blinked again.

Slowly a smile formed in her lips, which soon turned into a full blown laugh.

"Shhh! Don't be so loud Kriti. He might recognize your voice."

"Kid-ahahahaha...! This is epic. Ahahaha!"

"Kriti! Kriti stop gaffowing damnit! Shh Kriti!"

"Ahahaha... Too good! He deserves it! All those boring maths classes he made me attend. Karma is paying him back."

"Kriti. Not you two! I'm already against the kidnapping him."

With a grin, Kriti moved towards the door and started unlocking it.

"Oi Kriti!" Saara, whisper shouted. "Kriti, what exactly are you planning?"

Ktiti turned to her with a smirk. "I want to see his pissed off face."

"Kr-" Saara stopped when she knew Kriti wasn't going to listen. Helpless, she just decided to follow her obnoxious friend inside. However, the sound of a car approaching caught her attention.

Karan, Vivek and Laksh came out of the car.

Saara at once rushed towards them. "Guys, where's Ragini? Where are my brothers? Are they fine?"
