I sat in the room in silence. The Jordan guy had been standing by the door. I looked around to see a dresser with a mirror on it, like the ones you would see in the back stage rooms of plays. There had been some glitter on the dresser with some water and sun glasses. There were jackets resting on a couch right to the left of the dresser. It looked exactly like a back stage room.
Where am I?
There was an awkward silence for a good bit until Jordan finally broke it,
"Hey kid. Do you need anything?"
I looked up at him. He had orange, curly hair and freckles all over his pale face.
"No thank you." I smiled and he nodded and went back to standing by the door.
I studied him as he stood there. He had a headset on and would mumble things into it every now and then.
Am I at a play or concert or something?
I looked around and then decided to ask the question,
"Hey. Where exactly am I?"
Jordan looked over at me and looked as if he was debating on if he should say something or not. He turned towards me and leaned against the wall in front of me by the door.
"Haha. We have never really had someone other than the crew in the back. But to answer your question. You are at The Novo."
I gave him a confused face and he answered my question,
"The Novo is a place where people can play concerts at and such."
"Concerts?"
I started thinking. That Australian accent. His black, fluffy hair.
"Wait. I am at a concert?!"
Jordan smiled, "That's correct."
I was shocked. What are the odds of ending up at a concert for free?
Jordan turned back around looking out the door. I still had so many questions. So I stood up and walked over to Jordan who turned around to look at me again,
"What is it?"
"Who's concert exactly?"
"Well 5 Seconds of Summer of course!"
I stood there in shock and excitement. I knew that accent sounded familiar!
"Wait. The 5 Seconds of Summer??"
Jordan stood up straight from leaning on the wall,
"Wait a second. You aren't a fan are you?"
"Uhh...yes?"
Jordan looked concerned, "You aren't going to get all crazy are you? Because I would hate to half to kick you out. Especially because of the condition you are in."
I did still feel a little unwell from earlier. I looked at him straight in the eyes.
"Oh no. I mean I have always wanted to see them at one of their concerts, but I have never had the money. I just think it's a little crazy how I just happened to end up at 5 Seconds of Summer's concert. I do promise I won't freak though! I am more excited. But I am not like a crazy fangirl haha."
Jordan stared at me for a good, long minute. Then he laughed and wrapped his arm around my shoulder,
"Alright, kid. I believe you. You seem like a good kid. So in that case, you get front row seats!"
"What?!"
I didn't know what to do or how to react. I just stood there, big eyed.
Jordan walked me out of them room and down a hallway, "Yes! Don't go telling all your friends though. I could get in trouble."
"You're a real cool guy."
Jordan laughed at me and gave me a noogie, "Ah kid don't worry about it. What was your name? I don't think Calum ever asked you. He's such a knuckle head sometimes."
"Wait. Calum was the one who found me and brought me in?"
Jordan looked at me confused, "I would've thought that you would have noticed, but considering the condition you were in, you probably were super out of it and didn't get a good look at him. Yeah it was Calum who brought you in. He's always had such a kind heart. That's what I like about him! He looked and sounded very concerned about you when he brought you in. He had a hard time leaving you with me. But the show must go on!"
I was so shocked and overwhelmed I didn't know what to say. I just kept walking where he guided me.
"You still haven't told me your name."
"Oh! It's Kammie."
"Kammie? Hm. I've never in my life heard that name. Very unique!"
"Haha thank you."
We finally walked out of the hallway into a giant opening, which looked like the area right behind the stage. Jordan took his arm off my shoulder,
"Do you need any more water? You look about out."
I looked down at the bottle I was holding to see it three quarters empty. "Yes please."
He bent down opening a cooler and pulled a water bottle out and threw it at me. I wasn't expecting him to throw it and almost dropped the bottle. Jordan laughed at me, "Great catch."
I stared at him crossing my arms, "Ha. Ha."
He put his hands up as if he had just been caught by the police, "Okay okay."
He laughed and then walked over, "Alright s-"
"HELLO LOS ANGELES!!"
Jordan looked at me with a smirk, "They are starting. Come on. Follow me this way."
