I sat here staring at the time on my phone .

I placed a spoonful of cereal in my mouth.

I looked down at Chico who tilted his head at me.

It was 6:30 in the morning and I was dressed for work.

I contemplated on going to this dog park. It wasn't my thing really.

I'd look like a big fool up there with Chico. And I'm there with Aaron...

It would be awkward silence among us because I honestly don't have much to say to him.

But Chico's little girlfriend would be happy to see him. I got other stuff to focus on right now though.

"Be good baby." I placed down his food and water.

I grabbed my purse and phone and headed out the door .

I unlocked my car and got in .

1 New Voice Mail.

My car said to me as soon as I turned it on.

I grabbed my seatbelt and put it on smiling .

"Read" I said putting my car in reverse.

Good morning babygirl its Stefanzo I'm sure you know that already though

He laughed and it sent shivers down my spine.

I just want to wish you a good day at work and to be safe and I'll call you on your lunch break . You better answer this time too

End of Voice Mail

"He is a character ." I shook my head driving.

I pulled up to the Daycare and walked in.

"Miss CeCe!" A couple of kids called my name.

I went over there to hug them.

"I missed you guys!" I said to them.

"We missed you too!"

I enjoyed kids that's why I enjoy my job here.

"How was your trip?"

"Was it cold?"

"Did you get married?"

"Yea Miss CeCe did you get a boooyyfriend?"

They borded me up with questions ontop of questions.

"Slow down guys I'll talk all about my trip and then afterwards I'm going to pass out coloring sheets of a Ski lift and mountain."

"Oh yea baby" one of my boy students said.

I shook my head and laughed.

The day went by fast and before long it was time for me to go on break.

As I headed to the teachers cafeteria I saw another teacher there.

Mrs. Robbins Ariel Robbins

"Long time no see." She said to me.

I opened the refrigerator grabbing my lunch bag .

"Seems like it." I said plainly.

"You know I was thinking maybe you could give me some of your kids for my class field trip next week." She smirked at me.

"Ever since I got here you've been trying to take my kids, my class, my teacher's rights, my job. No. Focus on your class and I'll focus on mine."

"Listen there itty bitty brains need to soak up as much knowledge as possible. "
