Everyone was sitting around, it was Friday night, class was cancelled and they'd decided to go to the boys apartment to plat play video games. Ava wasn't really fond of video games, she didn't even know how to play them since she'd never had someone in her house who actually took interest in that sort of thing. But it was fascinating, even Dani was engrossed in it. She wasn't sure if it was because Jason had his arm around her head while he played, or if she genuinely liked video games.

"Fuck, stop shooting me asshole" Jason shouted at Wes, his fingers continuously pressing at the various buttons.

Wes just shot him a grin, followed by laughter. Ava couldn't help look at him. She tried not to make it too obvious. She just needed to see his neck, so every time he moved she turned her head to look at him. But it was like he knew she was watching her, because every single time, his neck was obscured from view and she was left looking at his hair.

"I can't believe you're getting your ass kicked Jason" Eli mumbled from the couch, he was the only one besides Ava who wasn't wholly invested in the game. The two of them were seated on the couch, while Jason, and Dani sat on the floor, with backs against the edge of the couch. Wes was a little further away, his legs stretched out, sitting across from them in a black, leather recliner.

"It's 'cause he's high" Jason mumbled, his eyes trained on the tv.

"Shouldn't that make me worse?" Wes added. Jason looked tense, and focused, whereas Wes was relaxed, softly gnawing at his lip and one leg consistently bounced up and down.

"You're always better at everything when you're high" Dani said, giving Wes a knowing look. Wes just narrowed his eyes at her, and stayed quiet, "isn't that right, Ava?"

Ava turned her gaze away from Wes, and looked at Dani, "What?"

"I mean... you did smoke weed at the party with him, no?"

"She smoked weed?" Eli yelled, turning to look at Ava, "You smoked?"

Ava nodded, and shrugged her shoulders, "I don't remember it though"

"Ah, fuck, we're corrupting her" Eli exclaimed, a wide grin on his face as he kept his stare fixed on Ava. "This is so fucking awesome!"

"Eli stop acting like a dumbass" Dani scoffed, "you're taking away from the important part"

"What's the important part?" Ava asked, glancing back and forth between Wes and Dani. Neither of them acknowledged her, too busy glowering at each other.

"Hey Dani, I gotta show you something. Like right now, let's go" Jason interrupted, without waiting for a response from her, he guided her into his room by her shoulders.

"Yeah, totally not obvious" Eli said.

Wes shook his head, and went back to the game, "play for Jason, man" he nodded towards Eli.

Eli let out a groan, but obliged, going to sit down in the empty spot that was previously occupied by Dani and Jason. Ava didn't know what to say, both the boys were too occupied with the game so she sat with her knees drawn up and hands tucked under her feet. Placing one side of her head on her knees, she looked over at Wes.

His curls were getting longer, almost reaching down to his neck, he was wearing silver, thick rings on his fingers. A piercing gleamed in one ear, and lashes that were softly curled upwards. His usual black t-shirt, with black sweatpants and bright yellow socks adorned his body. She tried to lean further to look at his neck, a little closer and she could make out a faint mark.

"Stop staring at me" Wes gritted out, his eyes flickering towards her for only a second before they went back to the tv.

Ava flinched back, a soft red blush spreading across her cheeks, "I wasn't"
