Text when ur done! 💕Ava walked into her psychology class to write the midterm, after Jace had left Saturday night, she couldn't exactly sleep. So she stayed awake throughout Saturday and then all through Sunday studying for the material. But walking into an exam still made her sweat like a fish in water, and made her stomach twist in knots.
She saw Jace approach her, and her palms became even sweatier. She wished she could just disappear so she wouldn't ever have to talk to him again.
"Ready?" He had a wide grin of his face, as if Saturday night had never even happened. Not wanting to prolong the conversation, Ava just nodded even thought she was far from ready. They took their seats, Jace sat beside her in the small lecture hall, and the midterm started.
"That wasn't so bad, huh?" Jace nudged her as they walked out of the midterm, and Ava just nodded, which did the trick because he started rambling about god knows what. "Right?"
Ava turned to look at him, "what?"
"I said we deserve a treat, right?" Jace clarified, throwing an arm around her shoulder. Ava tensed up, and stopped walking.
"I've got a group project" she blurted.
"A project? For what class?"
Ava turned to glare at him, her teeth grinding and nose probably flaring, "I don't think I have to report this stuff to you"
"Well not yet, but we're going to be official soon so it is my business. So what class Ava?"
"Biology" Ava stated, because technically she wasn't lying. There was a group project, it just wasn't due for another month but who needed to know that.
"Hmm, alright, do you want me to pick you up after?"
"No, my parents insist on Marcus driving me" she mumbled.
Jace shrugged in defeat, "I suppose I'll just see you tomorrow then." Ava nodded, and waved him off until she couldn't see him any longer. She glanced down at her vibrating phone, revealing a new text from Dani.
Meet at boys apartment
I'll see u there!
Ava replied with a simple okay and while she waited for familiar black car to come by, she texted Nadia to let her know she'd be home late. When the car pulled up, Ava got inside and headed towards the road that was becoming too familiar. She knocked on the apartment door three times before it was finally opened. Wes stood on the other side, wearing loose, grey sweatpants and no shirt, his gleaming, tanned skin on display. She noticed a few scattered tattoos, one near his shoulder, another near the chest and one across the rib were the only ones she could make out without ogling all over him.
"Yeah?" Wes mumbled, his fists coming to rub at his eyes. His hair was a disheveled mess, cheeks flushed and swollen lips.
"Oh, I- I'm sorry I woke you up didn't I?" She trained her eyes just behind his head so she wouldn't be tempted to look down at his upper body.
