I had gotten so many looks from many souls and demons as Luc explained to me when we walked into the Judgment Hall.

"I will be right back, you stay right here," Luc said placing his hand under my elbow before walking up to someone across the room.

Judgment Hall consisted of one giant room, and once you walked in directly across the room was a panel of Judges and to the right was a door marked Caelum, Latin for Heaven. To the left was a door marked Inferos, Latin for Hell. I assumed the soul walked through one of those doorways once they were finished being judged.

"Hello there darling."

I looked from the marvelous chandelier hanging from the ceiling to a male demon grinning from ear to ear.

"Hello," I smiled back.

"Who must you be? You seem a little too pure for a place like this."

He started getting closer to my face and I wasn't fond of it.

"Um, no. I'm an angel, I was brought here for-" I quickly thought up and excuse. "Ah, business." I wasn't sure I should tell anyone that I was kidnapped and didn't know how to get home.

Speaking of which, I wondered what happened to Balban and Abaddon.

I jumpered from my thoughts when a hand touched my waste and fingers twirled my hair.

"Um, please don't touch me," I whispered trying to move away from his hands. He went to reach his hand towards my face, but a much bigger hand stopped it. My nerves relaxed when a warm hand was placed on my lower back and I looked up to see a not so happy Luc.

My nerves spiked again when the three of us flashed from the Judgment hall to a familiar cage.

I looked to Luc and his eyes were completely black and he was seething with emotions I had never experienced.

"Nu vei atinge ceea ce îmi aparține. Ceva atât de curat nu va fi atins de mâini de lăcomie ca a ta. Pentru că idolul tău vei muri de mâna mea." (You will not touch what belongs to me. Something so pure will not be touched by hands of greed like yours. Because of your idiocy, you will die by my hand.)

Luc spoke in an ancient dialect I knew little to nothing of. The only thing I gathered was this man was dying because he touched what was clean?

The demon's eyes widened in fear as Luc's fingers wrapped around his throat and started to squeeze.

"Luc, don't kill him, it was harmless." I went to move but was stopped by an invisible wall. That weird burning feeling was coming back and tears were falling from my eyes.

It didn't matter if that man had bad intentions towards me, I wasn't going to let anyone die at the cost of touching me. I wasn't going to let anyone die because of me.

I did the only thing I could think of. Father had once told me I have Love-light, a part of my gift. He said it would make anyone stop what they were doing because it was so overwhelming with power.

Light crashed into everything and warmth filled my body and I didn't stop the smile from forming on my lips. I opened my eyes when I felt a darker power pushing against my own.

Luc was so close I could see how empty his eyes were at this moment. I was reminded of what he was about to do and that heat came rushing back.

"Angry Little Angel, you dare try to match my power in my own realm?"

Angry? Was that what this feeling was, this intense heat building in my chest creeping up my neck to my cheeks?

"I wasn't going to let you kill him, it is not what I stand for Luc."

Luc cocked his head to the side to look at the demon boy on the ground. "Leave before I change my mind."

"Yes, Lucifer."

Lucifer, that name was familiar, but how? I remember reading of an angel once who held that name, but it was slim to nothing. I remember listening to father when I was very young. He was talking about how his beloved angel Lucifer had left the light. At that time I didn't understand that or what it meant, but now I knew perfectly.

"You, Lucifer." My anger was reaching levels I had dreamt never possible for anyone. "Lucifer meaning Morning Star, son of the dawn. You betrayed everyone, my father. He loved you, how? How could you? I read about you once in a book. You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Highest.' How have you fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! Instead of rising above like everyone thought even yourself, you were brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit. Why would you betray the light when you were apart of the light?"

Tears were streaming down my fare face as I spoke. I only kept crying as I watched his eye change from completely empty black to crystal blue.

"I feel for what I believed in, and I believed angels deserved more freedom just like those vile humans got. He loved them more than any of us, and you angels sit up there completely okay with being under those humans. I fell for what I believed in, just like I did with that demon," he snarled.

"That demon was harmless, Lucifer."

"He may have been harmless to you Vanna, but you couldn't see the thoughts in his mind. You could hear all the vile things he was planning on doing to you if he could whisk you away alone. As the damned Devil of this place, I have to do what I think is best and if that is keeping every god damned demon from you by locking you in a room, so help me god, I will."

Everything he said went in one ear out the next once I heard that little line. He didn't catch it, but I did.

"Devil. You are the Devil? You were the Devil this entire time and you didn't care to explain that to me? Was it just a game to you was it the scheme I was warned about?"

He looked away as my fit of anger continued on.

"Please enlighten me oh dear Devil, Morning Star, what is it you desire from me? What is it you want? Oh please do tell."

"Vanna, I didn't tell you because I needed to figure you out first. I needed to understand why that spirit warned you about me, but I figured it out."

"Do tell," I snapped at him.

"Vanna," he said taking a step closer to me, only to stop when I took a step back crossing my arms.

"I desire you like nothing I have ever desired before. I can't describe it. I felt it when you screamed in pain that first day I found you at the hands of my demons. I feel it now with all your anger pushing at me. You have woken something dangerous in me and it will never be turned off, and I'm afraid you are the only one who can tame it. See I have this figured out, I understand why you were created. Vanna, Hebrew for God's gift. God created you long ago to give you to a beloved angle of his."

I knew where he was going, but I didn't want to stop him, I wanted to hear it from his lips.

"You were created to love someone with intense light to match your own. You were created for me. The last verse of the riddle makes sense now. You are to lighten me and fill me with the light I once had, but I am to protect you from the darkness that wavers around us."

I squeezed my arms around myself tighter as he drew closer to me. His fingers pinched around my small chin to ensure I was paying attention.

"You are mine Little Angel, and I am yours."
