I woke in the bed alone. I looked around until my eyes landed on Lucifer. He was sitting at the end of the bed; his back leaning against one of the posts.

"What happened," I whispered.

Before I knew it his hand wrapped around my ankle and pulled me to the end of the bed. "You are quite the angel, Vanna. You desire so much, which I find ironic because you haven't even begun to see the world. I also find it quite amusing how much you desire me, even before you met me," he whispered against the palm of my hand.

I wasn't sure how to respond to his soft words. He was so close and I still hadn't woken completely.

"Um, well, I do have a vast mind," I mumbled looking into his blue eyes."Could you give me a moment," I asked looking away from him?

"Of course Little Angel," he smiled leaning down to kiss my temple. My cheeks flushed at his intimate action.

I sat up as he left the room leaving me to my thoughts.

How was I supposed to figure out my feelings and what I truly wanted when he acted like that? I was having a hard time understanding that I could be a gift.

I mean, it wasn't bad by any means. I was created for an actual purpose. I was the angel of love because I was to love someone. Well, that someone being Lucifer.

Was I really meant to love the Devil? I couldn't wrap my head around it because if I was meant to love Lucifer that was when he was an angel and followed the light and stood in the congregation of the righteous. He had changed, he fell from Heaven and landed in a fiery pit. Was I still meant to love him and be with him?

I really wanted to ask father about this, but I feared that wasn't going to be possible at the moment.

I stood from the bed and paced around the room. What to do, what to do?

My stomach growled loudly pulling me from my inner thoughts. An angel didn't have to eat as humans did, but eating every once in a while was good. I guess now was one of those moments.

I pulled the bedroom door open expecting Lucifer to be waiting on the other side, but he was, in fact, nowhere in sight.

I remember where the kitchen was when Lucifer showed me around one of the first days I arrived in Hell. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I walked into the lavish kitchen. Maybe some cooks, or maybe no one at all. I can say I wasn't expecting to walk in on Lucifer devouring cookies. Chocolate chip cookies to be exact.

I couldn't help the giggle that escaped my lips as he grabbed another cookie. I covered my mouth as he looked at me with a mouth full of cookies and chocolate stuck in the corners of his mouth.

"Yes, Little Angel?"

I shook my head and smiled as I walked over to the island and grabbed a cookie off the plate.

"I didn't take you as the type to like sweets."

"Oh, Little Angel there is a lot about me that you don't know. For instance, Chocolate chip cookies aren't my favorite dessert."

"Let me guess, it's devil's food cake?"

"You couldn't have been more right. Ironic, I know, but I do like a good death by chocolate," he chuckled.
