"Just Friends"

Part 2

Alexa POV

"LEX!! Wake up!!! You're gonna be late for school!" My brothers voice echoed through my head. Uuuggghhh. School. I got up and changed into a black crop jersey with black shorts. I put my hair up into a messy bun and did my make up. I ran down the stairs and grabbed a granola bar. Mavericks car stood at the gate of my house idoling. 

"Lex! Finally" Mav says rolling his eyes.  You roll your eyes back at him and climb into the passenger seat. 

"Sorry I'm late. I over slept" You look behind at the back seats where Aston and Cash were arguing about who the best BlackOps player was. I smile to myself.

-Time Skip to lunch-

I met up with my best friend, Dianna. I've known her for my whole life and I hope I'm still friends with her until the end of it. We walk over to our table. We always sit there. Me, Dianna, Maverick, Mycheal, Josh and Celine. We took our seats. In the corner of my eye, I could see Bradley staring at me from his friends table. He stood up an walled over to me, he tapped my shoulder.

"Hey Alexa, can I talk to you quickly?" he asked.

"Sure, what's up?" I stand up and walk to a whiter corner in the cafeteria.

"So...umm... I was wondering... can I take you for a date this Saturday?" He looks into my eyes.

"Yeah sure. Be by my place at 6:45. Cant wait." I say. I've alwasy been straight forward when it came to dates and questions. I guess it's my confidence, or my stubbornness. I walk back to the table. Everyone stares at me.

Alexa: What??

Mycheal: What was that about?

Alexa: He just asked me on a date. Nothing big.

Mav: You said no... right?

Alexa:I said yes, Mav

Dianna: Then it's settled. You me and Celine are shopping today.

You let out a small laugh and continue eating your lunch. During laugh you guys make small jokes and talk about your professors. It's times like these that you make you even more grateful for your friends.

-Time Skip to Mall-

Celine:"OMGosh!!!! This would look amazing for Saturday!" hands over a navy blue dress with an open laced chest.

Dianna: Nah. She's more of a black or fancy jeans girl." She walks past Celine taking back the dress.

Alexa: dont u think I should pick out my own outfit?

Both of them laugh gingerly at the comment. After a while you had picked out a black mini skirt with a white long sleeved crop top with jean jacket and black heels. You got home and quickly called Mav to come over. He was the only one (other then Dianna) who knew you well enough that you were a little nervous for this date. A knock came form the door and you ran to the door and opened it. 

Alexa: thanks for coming on such short notice." You hugged him and ran up the stairs to your room.

Mav sat on your black chair and you sat on your bed. Immediately you got up and started pacing up and down the room muttering to yourself.

Mav: Lex? What's wrong? Are u nervous about the date? Cuz u shouldn't be.

Alexa: I'm stressing Mav, I haven't been on a date since I broke up with James. I think I forgot how to go on a date." You say suddenly. Mav bursts out laughing, you throw a pillow at him.

Alexa:This is serious!" You say even though you're laughing. You breathe in deeply and sit on your bed.

Mav: just be your normal,confident,funny, adorable self and you'll do fine." He winks at you. His phone suddenly blows up with messages. He sighs.

Mav: I have to go. But I'll pick you tomorrow. And after the date. Bye

Alexa: Bye. See ya tomorrow.
