"Just Friends"

Part 3

I waited on the bench for Cash. You've tried clean yourself up, I hate it when people see me cry. Suddenly Mav's car rolls up into the parking,  I got up and started walking towards the car. MAV came out of the car! Maverick! I stopped dead in my tracks. 

M: Cash told me what happened. Are u okay?

A: I'm so sorry for not believing you!" I bury our in tears. " I should of beloved you! I'm so so sorry. Please forgive me...

M: Lex, of course I forgive you. He's just a jerk. 

Mav POV

I wrapped my arms around Lex's body embracing her. She cried into my shirt, I looked down, feeling the urge to kiss her. SHUT UP MAV!!! She's your best friend! It's  too early! Why would you think that!? I picked her up easily and placed her into the passenger seat of the car. I got in and drove back home. I parked my car and turned to Lex. She fell asleep on the way here. Her puffy red eyes were stained from crying and her mascara dropped down her face, she still looked gorgeous . I carefully picked her up- bridal style- and took her up to my room. I would've taken her to the guest room but it was being occupied by Lani's boyfriend. I rolled my eyes. I placed her onto my bed, she looked so peaceful. I  myself a glass of water. When I came up the stairs I saw that Lex was already awake.

Hey you. You're awake

A: how long was I out?

Not long" I said laughing. She didn't find it funny.

You can stay the night here if you want.

A: yeah. I'll do that.

How are you?

A: tired. I think I'm gonna just sleep on the couch.

No,  you'll sleep in my bed and I'll just... Sleep next to you.

A: we've done it before. 

Here, " I pass her one of my hoodies and a pair of Lani's shorts" Take this, you'll sleep way much better than in those.

A: thanks. 

I left the room for her to change in privacy. I came back into the room, ( she cleaned up all her makeup) she was lying on the bed staring at the ceiling. I changed into something and got in next to her. We didn't speak, we didn't need to, our silence said enough. I put on a movie, she slowly came aware of the movie and bean watching it with me. She cuddled up to my chest like she normally does when we watch a movie, but if it's normal... why does it feel different? Why does it give me butterflies? I looked down, she peacefully sighed in her sleep... until I heard her say something, something I never thought she would of h... my name. She sighed out my name. I smile to myself and gently kissed her forehead. I started drifting off to sleep...
