It's been a week since I took Flower to Louis' house. Truth is, I didn't really even want to go over there. I would've rather stayed home with Flower but I could tell that she was sad. She doesn't show it a lot, but I can tell sometimes. I thought that if she could see her friends, she would lighten up a little. And she has.
It's almost noon and she still isn't awake. I tell Candy that she doesn't have to wait up on Flower. Candy was going to make her chocolate chip pancakes.
"Then what will she eat?" she asks.
"She'll eat pancakes. I'll make it for her. You can go do your own thing, if you want." I offer and she smiles gratefully.
She pinches my cheek like a mother would. "What a sweetie!"
I find myself walking into Flower's room and don't bother stopping my feet. I open the door and find her peacefully sleeping on her bed under the white covers, her pink hair sprawled out onto the pillow. I can't help but smile at the beautiful sight and walk over to her. I stroke her hair and she stirs slightly before rolling onto her other side.
I gently rub at the small of her back and admire the sleeping beauty. I lean in close to her ear and whisper, "Baby..." and I know she's awake when she blushes and goosebumps form on her arms.
"What time is it?" she warily asks without opening her eyes.
"Time for you to get a watch." I tease and she waves her hand in the air, clearly trying to find me so she can smack me. She gives up and lets her arm fall back onto her side. "It's noon." I finally tell her.
She yawns and holds out her arms. Luckily, her eyes are still closed so she can't see that my face is red from her need for me. She makes me feel so wanted and I always blush a little from the way she makes me feel constantly. I lay down and we adjust ourselves comfortably in each others arms. She's warm from being under her blankets and I can't help but kiss her forehead.
"S-sorry," I apologize but she just nuzzles her head further into my chest.
"I've known you for a total of 16 days and you've already taken your tole on me, Zayn." she says in a sleepy voice.
"How so?" I move my head up a little so my chin rests on her head.
"Whenever I'm with you, I just feel like there's butterflies in my stomach." she vaguely explains.
"Well have you been eating caterpillars?" I tease and she squeezes me tighter in her arms as a giggle escapes from her lips.
"I haven't eaten anything today." she says.
Then I remember the pancakes. "Want some pancakes?"
"Did Candy make some?" she perks up.
I shake my head. "No, I'll be making them." I tell her.
"I don't know," she hesitates. "You might poison them."
"Why would I put poison in my girlfriend's food?" I ask and she looks up at me with her big blue eyes.
"I'm your girlfriend?" she asks shyly and my cheeks burn. Her constant blushing is clearly contagious because I find myself doing it more and more everyday when I'm around her.
"Um, yeah? We act like a couple, don't we?"
"Do boyfriends make their girlfriends pancakes?" she asks and I laugh.
"Some of them."
"With chocolate chips?" her eyes fill with hope and I can't turn her down.
"Yes, with chocolate chips." I answer and she climbs out of bed.
