My Happy Ending

Chapter 1

College years is finally waving at me now that I am finally graduated on Senior high school. Luckily, I graduated as a valedictorian in our batch.

"Ma, what course should I take in college?" I asked my mom while we are watching in the living room.

"Mag iiba ka pa ba? Edi sinayang mo lang 2 years mo sa senior high kung hindi mo ipagpapatuloy sa college." sabi niya.

I pouted. Hindi naman kasi yun yung gusto ko na track, actually. I don't have an idea and don't know about computers nga, since I really don't have one on my own. So, I really started on zero. My mom took me this track because it's in demand daw, and it's easy to find a job with it and also don't have a board exam. But what I really want is to be an accountant. Elementary pa lang dream ko na yon. But, since we're not rich and we really can't afford to take that course and mukhang wala din sila tiwala sa akin na ipapasa ko ang board exam in the future so here, I decided to continue my path. Mananalig na lang ako sa mother knows best na kasabihan.

"May point. By the way, mag aapply pala kami next week ni Lady sa Manila." paalam ko kay Mama.

Okay, Lady is my bestfriend since I was Grade 7. Although, she's taking a different course than mine. She's planning to take a Tourism course since bagay talaga siya don and that's what she really wants. As in overall, the height, the face, the brain, and mas may kaya family niya to support her with all she wants.

Also, I know Manila is far since sa probinsya kami nakatira, but we both want to have a new environment. We want to meet new people. And also, my main goal is, I want to be an independent person.

"Bakit doon pa? Ang dami naman university dito satin. Ang layo non, Kyna." tutol ni Mama.

"Kasama ko naman si Lady, Ma. Tsaka mas maganda turo doon ng IT. Mas malaki magiging opportunity ko. Puro teachers lang kaya priority ng mga school dito." pagpupumilit ko.

"Hay nako! Magpaalam ka sa Papa mo. Ewan ko lang kung payagan ka non." sabi ni Mama

"Ehhh, ikaw na magpaalam para sakin, Ma" sabi ko.

I know hindi papayag si Papa sa pinaplano ko pero this is for the best. Hindi na nga nasunod yung dream course ko, kahit man lang sa ganito sana pagbigyan naman ako.

"Bakit nga ba lalayo pa kayo ni Lady. Si Cyan nga dito lang sa mga university natin nag aaral." panimula ulit ni Mama.

Oh, right. Cyan is my boyfriend for almost two years and counting. And as for all you to know, Cyan and Lady are siblings. Oldest brother ni Lady si Cyan and to make the story short, I have a crush on Lady's brother since Lady and I become friends.

The first time I saw Cyan was when I visited Lady's house for our group project when we are Grade 7. The moment I saw him back then, I immediately told Lady that I like her brother, but I also told her not to tell him about it and just keep it a secret. I know it's a normal thing, kasi alam ko crush lang yon, mawawala din 'yon pero mali pala ako. With he's treatment to me for all those years everytime I went to their house, mahirap na i-let go yung feelings kaya nag moving up na kami ng Grade 10 crush ko pa rin siya and that is not a normal thing anymore.
