"Will you take me as I am?"

No one takes time these days. They don't want to take things slow. They don't want commitment. They just want the high not caring about the crash.

"Across the highway there's a girl I used to be
Swim in the deep end, not afraid of anything"

I was a victim of that carelessness. You used me for your high, not caring what would happen to me during your crash.

"I feel like an ocean, washing away
Gasping for air now under the wave
You're pulling me deeper, deeper till I'm broken"

But like a drug you kept coming back to me. In a haze I let you back in every time. The high was worth losing myself.

"I feel like an ocean, washing away
Drown in the silence, nothing to say
You're pulling me deeper, deeper till I'm broken"

You left me without a voice. Nothing left to say to defend myself.

"Find some creatures you and I
In my future, is it bright?
Do you feel better knowing that I'm far away?
Maybe it's alright living with the memories"

Silence. Oh the sweet yet deafening silence. You came back and took control again. Except when you had enough all that was left was the damned silence. Leaving me beat, broken, and tired, all I had was the memories. The memories of the pain which always outweighed the good.

"Is it real hard, is it real hard
You pulling me deeper, deeper till I'm broken"

That was until the light found me. Light chose me. The light rescued me. He gave me a voice when I thought it was gone. He healed what you took from me all those times you crept around. He took every piece of me and showed me I was worth it. He made me fearless. He wrapped me in love and took all my hurt. He took my pain and molded it into beauty. He accepts me as I am. He made me realize I don't have to change who I am to be worth his time. He chose me. He will never leave me waiting. He will provide for me everything you never could. He is LOVE!
