As he flicked through the letters, a small, handwritten envelope caught his attention and his heart began to thump. Slowly pulling at the seal of the envelope his heart began to race faster and faster. Knowing his past was finally catching up to him he hesitantly finished opening the envelope to reveal a handwritten letter that was written on a piece of aging paper.
"To Dad,
I hope you find this letter some day. I don't know if mom would've found you to give this to you. If she did I want you to know a few things. First off, I hope I can meet you one day. I don't think I look much like mom so I've always wonder how much we look alike.
Second I want you to know I don't blame you for leaving Mom and I. If I was in your position I would be scared too. If you ever want to find me I put my phone number on the back of this paper.
I hope one day you'll come and find me.
Love, Emmy."
Being overwhelmed with emotions he quickly flipped the paper. Finding the number quickly he dialed the number and hit the call button and waited for the voice on the other end of the call.
