September – Tsukki’s birthday month. You sat on your desk as you came up with scenarios that you could do for him. Surprise birthday party, baking cakes and other pastries, a date in an amusement park or even surprising him after his volleyball trainings. Speaking of which, does anyone in the club even know you’re dating their beloved Tsukishima Kei? You wondered about how they’d react, though they probably don’t even know you.

You grabbed your phone and scrolled through social media, something you don’t really do. You checked out your notifications, messages and even Kei’s profile. It was filled with volleyball related posts and it was mainly pictures of him and his team. It isn’t really like him to post too much on social media so most of the content are just tagged posts. You notice that a lot of these posts were made by the short boy, Hinata. He wasn’t someone Kei usually talked about but you do know that he’s a valuable player. You wanted to meet him and the entire team someday.

“Hey, Y/N, what’s up?” you received a message from Yachi.

“Nothing, really. How about you? I’m really bored,” you reply.

“Aren’t you planning something?” she replied quickly.

“For my Tsukki?”

“wow, pretty bold of you to use that word. But yeah, him.”

“I don’t really know. Maybe I’ll surprise him or something.”

She left you on read, which you didn’t particularly mind. You continued scrolling on his profile. He barely takes pictures of himself and most often than not, he frowns or just puts on a blank face on every picture.

"Are you free today?” another message popped up, from him, this time.

“For you, yeah.”

He took his time before he replied to you, it made you curious. He called you and you picked up.

“Great, do you want to go somewhere fun?”

It was unusual for Kei to say something like that but agreeing didn’t seem to be so bad either.

“Sure, where though?”

“You’ll know when we get there. Can you meet me at school? I mean, the place is much closer to-“ his pace began to speed up as it gave you the hint that he was a little nervous.

“See you at school, Kei. I’ll be on my way in a few minutes. Alright? See you.”

“Yeah, right. Well, see you, Y/N.”

You hung up and got dressed casually. You just wore a loose shirt, pair of denim jeans and a leather jacket you got last year for your birthday. You fixed your hair and styled it cutely.

A few minutes later, you were already standing in front of the school gate, waiting for Kei. You turned around and tried to spot a tall blonde figure in the area. You finally spot him, approaching you. His clothes were soaked probably because of his training. Kei doesn’t really put all his effort for volleyball for some reason but you do know he enjoys it. The apparent smile on his face just know says it all.

“Hey, you’re here. Nice, nice,” he said.

“Well, what’s up?”

“Do you mind? Do you mind if I tell my teammates about us?” he asks you with an unsure tone.

“That’s cute. Of course I wouldn’t mind. I’m dating their best,” you say very proudly.

“Hey, I’m not as good as that,” he attempts to correct you.

“My Kei is so humble,” you tease.

Timeskip – 6:30PM

“Really? Tsukishima wasn’t joking about him dating a girl?” a boy with light hair exclaimed.

You were standing in front of the Karasuno Volleyball team and you felt their eyes glued on you and Tsukki.

“I wasn’t. Now, we’re going to leave. See you,” Kei remarked.

“No way, are you okay, Miss?” an orange-haired boy asked.

“This midget, when will you stop being annoying?” Kei commented again while you were taking your leave.

Yamaguchi was the only one who wasn’t surprised by the dating news. He probably even knew that you two liked each other before you even knew it. He was genuinely happy for the both of you.

Fifteen minutes has passed and you were still walking beside Kei, clueless of where you’re about to go to.

“Well, can’t I have a clue on where you’re taking me?” you asked him.

“Nope, I can’t.”

“Please?”

“All I know is that we’re going to have a nice time there.”

You end up in a train station and you still had no idea.

“Can I at least hold your hand?” you asked him while waiting for the train.

“It’s embarrassing to ask that.”

“But it’s not like you hate it when I’m sweet, right?” you tell him while he held your hand.

After some time, you got out of the train with him. He was still holding your hand.

“Aren’t you going to tell me something?”

“Nope, not yet. I will though, in a few minutes.”

The ‘few minutes’ came a little bit too slow. You were getting impatient and you just hoped that you’ll be arriving wherever you’re supposed to be in soon. You enter a crowded area and the noise of the people annoyed you. There were vendors everywhere and you noticed that their merchandise was familiar. It was posters of your favorite band.

“No way, are we really? Are we really going to-"

“Surprise, Y/N,” Kei says with a bright smile on his face. After seeing you surprised and happy, we had a proud look on his face, as if he was proud to do something so romantic and sweet.

“I really really like you, Kei Tsukishima.”

“Huh? Like?” he teased.

You smirked, "I love you, Kei Tsukishima. You make me feel like the luckiest person alive. You’re the best."
