Kobayashi Yui cover her ears as groan, cries echoed the hallway, her knees feel so weak, she's catching her own breathe, she's already tired from running and she's about to trip but not for the strong arms that pull her protectively. She tilt her head and seeing her face lit a hope inside her chest.
Yes, she's safe. She's safe because she have Risa beside her.
"Keep running Yui, we shouldn't stop." Watanabe Risa said, eyes staying alert for anyone or anything that will go near them. Her hand tightly grip to her katana.
Kobayashi nodded, mustering her little strength to keep the pace with Risa who she think also exhausted but staying stronger between them. She glance over her shoulder, horrified and terror draw to her face upon seeing the horrible state of their clean and neat hallway before that now filled with blood, dead bodies and zombies chasing them.
She want to cry, remembering all their classmates that smiling and laughing earlier but now dead.
She turn to Risa when she felt a warm soft hand intertwined to hers. "Were going to survive this Yui. Trust me!"
"I trust you."

Silence.
The silence that surrounding her deafening her. Before is better, she will choose to be annoy by her loud classmates screaming and laughing inside the classroom than this silence. She can only hear birds, the move of grass by the wind and Risa.
After they safely escaped their deserted school, they manage to reached the near parking lot which they think is kind of safe. Kobayashi move her eyes to spot a living things but she failed, nothing. All of them were gone.
"Risa.." The short haired girl turn to her. "Do you know how to drive a car?"
Kobayashi furrowed her eyebrow seeing the smile plastered to Risa face. How can she smile like that despite their situation?
"Yes, my uncle taught me." Risa glance to her left and right, making sure that nothing is strange around them before she look at Kobayashi. "This will bring us to Yokohama, get in."
Kobayashi nodded and she obliged. And when Risa close the door and window, start the engine, is the only time she felt really weak, tired and somehow feel safe.
No one speaking during their trip, she doesn't want to speak because she think she will burst all out her emotions after all what happened. So she stay silent, embracing herself as she watch the road while Risa quietly drive.
Yokohama, a place where their other classmates who she doesn't know if still alive said the place to be their meeting place.
But what the hell really happen? How come when she's just sleeping to her desk five hours ago and now the world flipped so fast? She also doesn't know exactly what happened. She just heard a loud explosion from their entrance gate and suddenly, a group of strange elders attack their school. Biting whoever they will encounter and in a span of one hour, almost half of the people inside their school are now infected.
She saw with her two eyes how students bite each other, blood bubble from their mouth and the scream and cries of her classmates was horrible to watch. It's also ripped her heart how her one classmate sacrifice herself just for her, Oda Nana who pushed her outside the classroom and four of students attacked cruelly.
She's too shocked to absorb what happening, she didn't the notice the incoming infected student at her back. She screamed when blood bath above her and head rolled beside her, tilting her head up. It's Risa who slashed the student head. She saved her.
