My first day of school was finally over, and I couldn't be more ecstatic. I almost did a happy dance at the sound of the bell. That's how relieved I was.
As I walked out the doors, I was blasted by the hot, August heat. It was as if I'd just ventured to hell and there was no return. I'm pretty sure I'm sweating even though I've only been out here for like a second.
I was walking to my car, looking at the swarm of students around me when my gaze met a pair of grey eyes. I knew who those eyes belonged to, because they belonged to the same person that kept sending me glances in my last class. I guess my rude exit at lunch made him curious about me.
Rolling my eyes for the millionth time today, I got in my car and was on my way home.
Home. I wouldn't refer to that place as home. I wouldn't refer to anywhere as home, because I basically didn't have one. I'd move around so much, that I saw everything as temporary. I never got too attached to anywhere, because I know that nothing was ever permanent.
When I pulled into the driveway and got out the car, I hurried into the house trying to escape the heat. When I entered and felt the cool breeze of the air conditioner, it was as if I had been welcomed to heaven. I closed my eyes and breathed in the cool air. When I opened them, I met the gaze of my older sister and straight back to hell I went.
"Why do I have to be related to you?" she asked while walking to the kitchen. I followed behind her thinking about getting some food in my system.
"Sade, I'm the best thing that ever happened to you," I said from the fridge. I pulled out some pizza rolls and popped them into the microwave.
"If you mean, the worse then yes, you are the worse thing to ever happen to me." I covered my heart with my hands and act like I was wiping away fake tears.
"You're really an annoying little shit," she narrowed her eyes.
"And you're a bitch," I fired back. She shot me the bird and was on her way.
If it wasn't noticeable, Sade and I, really don't get along much. She sees me as a responsibility that she never asked for and in my eyes, she's an irresponsible, selfish individual that needs to get her head out of her ass. Ever since we were younger, she was always like this, but things got worse after she gained custody of me. That's when the bitch became an ultimate bitch.
The microwave *dinged* and I took my delicious snack out and went to my room. My room was quite plain, much like most of the house. We had just moved here, so there were boxes that still needed to be unpacked. I should probably get to doing that but I was far too lazy.
I put my backpack down, remembering that I had homework that needed to be done. I sat on my bed and finished my snack and then got to it because food always comes first.
It was ten when I finished my homework, I would've been done sooner, but I would always find myself focusing on other things, like what was the new gossip on the Shaderoom and other irrelevant things like that. Homework just doesn't bring me as much joy as celebrity gossip.
I took a quick shower and was now snuggled up in my bed. My mind wandered to the events of my first day at school. In the span of eight hours, I pissed off three people, who probably have a deep dislike for me, maybe even four if I count Jace. So, basically, it was just another normal day in my life.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆"Oh shit!" I shot up and looked at the time on my phone and realized that I was definitely going to be late for school. I knew I should've never pressed snooze... the third time!
I groaned and jumped out of bed, quickly grabbing an outfit and getting dressed. I threw my hair up in a bun and rushed to brush my teeth. I didn't have time to get all glammed up, but I figured I looked decent enough.
