(Your P.O.V)
I was with my friend Katelyn. She's honestly one of my best friends. She understands me. Protects me. But most importantly she makes me happy. Everytime around her though I feel my heart pound so bad that it'll jump out of my chest. I'm not sure why. Well I wasn't sure until last night.
*At Aphmau's house*
"Hey Aphmau!" I said as I hugged her tightly. Kawaii~Chan and Zane followed behind me. We were having a sleepover because Aphmau needed some comforting since Aaron was having a bachelor party. "Hey (Y/N)!!! And Zane!!! And KC!!!!" She said as she invited us in. We all sat down in the living room frosting sweets because Katelyn's birthday is coming up. Me and Aphmau laughed of course when Zane's frosting packet exploded on him from him crushing it. (MY POOR CHICKEN NUGGET)
"Guys!~ it's not funny!" KC pouted as she cleaned up Zane. A few minutes pasted by as we finished frosting the sweets. As I looked at all the blue frosted cupcakes with blueberries in them I started imagining her. Katelyn and her sky blue hair. Her skin so beautiful and pale. Her eyes that are still blue but have sparks of anger when she's mad. I hold my chest feeling my heart pound. I could've stayed in that daze forever if it wasn't Zane snapping his fingers in my face.
"Hello? Is anybody home?" Zane said actually sounding a bit concerned. I snapped back to reality and saw KC and Aphmau snickering at me. "What?" I asked confused. "You were daydreaming about her huh?" They both asked. I felt my cheeks heated up at first I thought it was anger so I scolded them. "Yeah because she's my bestie!" I said.
"(Y/N)~Senpai we already know your gay" KC said brightly. "What?! No I ain't!" I said getting even more flustered. "(Y/N)~Senpai you should talk to Katelyn~Suma! I know you two will be the perfect couple!" KC said with heart eyes. "Are you crazy?! She has Travis! And I'm not gay!!!" I said.
"Surrrrrre~ wellllll if you wanna know they aren't actually dating" Aphmau said. My eyes widened. "WHAT?!" I asked. "Yeah Travis~Kun and Katelyn~Suma are just good friends that faked dated when Travis~Kun's father was here!" KC said. I was shocked. "Well still either way! What does that have to do with me?!" I asked. "This means it's your chance to go to your sweet blueberry" Zane said with his evil voice and laughed evilly. "CMON NOT YOU TOO ZANE!" I yelled. "Hey just because I'm with the most sweetest neko in town doesn't mean I still don't enjoy people's suffering" he said with a smirk. KC blushed and hugged him. "Zane~Kun please don't tease her heart!" KC said. "Yeah that's our job girl!" Aphmau said sassily.
"Oh no you didn't girlfriend" Zane said back throwing sass. Aphmau gasped. "How dare you talk to me that way!" She said. I just walked out not feeling the mood to watch a hilarious fight between Aphmau and Zane. I looked up at the stars in the sky. The stars shined bright. I smiled at them watching them glow. They reminded me of the twinkles in her eyes when she's happy. Whenever I see the beauty in nature I think of her. Because she's as beautiful or even more.
I look down at the concrete and kicked a rock. Then giggled to myself at how Katelyn has the strength to break a boulder. After I looked around and be reminded of her. I realized that I'm in love with her. I know saying it now feels like I've been blinded for so many years but I shouldn't be blamed. I don't trust love. Not because of specific exes or anything. It's just what I see around me. It discomforts me to think that someone you love so dearly....still has a chance to lose. Whether it's because of money,issues between you and them,family matters,whatever! You still have a chance to lose them. When you do lose them you feel like your soul has been crushed.
But you see the percentage of your chance of success with that person as your lover for all eternity and realize. Maybe it's good to take risks.
*back to present time*
I checked my phone to see that I got a text from Aphmau. I glanced at it.
Aphmau:Hey (Y/N)! We are all at Katelyn's house waiting for her to come home make sure you come with the treats!
Fuck.
I realized that I was walking to her house and forgot the most important thing!
Immediately I zoomed back home. I grabbed the containers of treats then zoomed out of there. I had no time to waste. I was running trying to make it there on time. But because I was running and looking for the house going the exact OPPOSITE direction. I bumped into someone.
The treats flew out of my hands and the glass containers they were in shattered. Cupcakes stained the concrete with blue frosting. Blueberries and edible sparkles everywhere. Cookies shattered in pieces. And brownies landed in some sewage water.
I didn't even pay attention to the person I bumped into because I was having an extreme panic attack. I sat on my knees and tried to rescue what I can. I kept wincing when glass pricked my hand but I ignored it because tears were already streaming down my face. "What am I gonna do what am I gonna do?!" I cried. But then I felt a warm hand hold mine.
It was a recognizable pale hand. I froze in my tracks.
"(Y/N) are you okay?" Asked Katelyn. I gulped and shook my head. "(Y/N) I'm sure everything is fine please don't cry" she told me softly and helped me up. I got up and wiped my tears with my sleeve and sniffled. She took my hand then proceeded to get me home.
Once we got inside everyone jumped out. "SURPRISE KATELYN!" They all said. Well beside Zane he just sat in the corner drinking punch. Her eyes widened and everyone else's did too when they saw me. "(Y/N) are you okay?!" Asked Garroth with concerned. I nodded.
"We'll be right back guys (Y/N) had an accident" Katelyn said taking me to the bathroom.
She closed the door and gently took the glass out. "Hold still this may burn" she said as she poured rubbing alcohol in my hand. "Ow!" I said wincing. She cleaned my wound and bandage my hand. "What happened?" She asked. I looked down. "I was trying to make it to the party on time to surprise you." I said upset. She laughed. "But you were going the wrong way!" She said.
"I realized that" I said upset. She frowned and hugged me. "Do you want me to kiss it to make you feel better?" She said like a baby. I giggled. "No I'm a big g-" as I was trying to finished my sentence she kissed me.
My eyes widened shocked but I soon melted into the kiss. We stayed like that for a few minutes till she pulled away. "Better?" She asked. I was speechless.
She snickered. "I know you have feelings for me I've always known I just had to find the right time" and with that she left leaving me still speechless. I touched my lips through remembering how soft they were and I melted. "That girl" I said to myself then left the party.
