I hastily walked the corridors until I got to my first class. 'Telekinetic Practice for beginners'. I didn't know I was a telekinetic but Miss Hastings surely thought I had it in me. After 15 minutes of roaming I finally arrived at the class room. It was a giant classroom, objects splayed all across the room. A man with long white hair and piercing green eyes stood in front of me, his hand outstretched in front of him. "Schedule, please." I fumbled around in my bag and placed my schedule in his hand. "Here." He carefully examined the piece of paper as if it was some Egyptian hieroglyph that his mind wouldn't let him decipher. Then, as if in shock, his eyes grew wide and changed from green to purple. "AHH! Miss Killthorne. I've been expecting you to arrive. Come, take a seat!" He said, gesturing inside the classroom. "Umm, where are the desks?" I asked. The room was painted in a glossy white marble, and not a single chair appeared to be in sight. "Do you see anyone sitting in chairs, Miss Killthorne?" He asked. I looked. Everyone was sitting on their bottoms, staring at me, obviously annoyed and ready to start the class. I could see a blonde boy lean in to a guy next to him and whisper something, which I assumed was about me, which made the boy burst into laughter. "Brandon, Luke! Quiet!" The teacher said. I walked past him and found a spot on the cold floor. The hairs on my back stood up. I turned around, sensing someone was staring at me. A gorgeous boy with black hair and blue eyes stared back at me. I began to blush uncontrollably. I couldn't help it! His eyes were mesmerizing, like pools of giant oceans that sucked you deeper and deeper into blissful oblivion. He wore a tight brown shirt with black pants and Sandals, the kind of pants that had cuts at the knees and showed how muscular his thighs were. He noticed me lost in his gaze and gave me a flirtatious wink. "Hi." I said. "Hey there." He replied. "I-" "GOOD MORNING CLASS. My name is Mister Colbert, and I will be teaching you how to properly control objects with your mind. Sounds simple enough? Didn't think so. Since this is your first day in my class, each and every one of you will need to come up and demonstrate your powers to me so I can see if you're eligible for advanced classes or if you are DOOMED to remain in beginner courses for your entire 6 year term at this school." The class laughed. Most of them seemed to be pretty powerful, in their own rights. I could feel the energies radiating off of the whole room. One person in particular, a girl whom I couldn't get a good look at, had magical energy so overpowering that it made me lightheaded just trying read. And the guy with the blue eyes. His energy radiated off of him in waves. "First, we are going to do class introductions. MISS KILLTHORNE. Why don't you start by introducing yourself first?" Oh fuck. Great. Great great great. "Go ahead." Said the beautiful dark haired boy behind me, flashing me a warm smile. I forced a smile and slowly rose to my feet. "Uhh.. hi!" The class stared at me, silently. "I'm Jessica Killthorne. I'm a first year. My sister is Omera Killthorne, as some of you may already know." "You're the halfling?" Asked the blonde boy from earlier. I sighed. "If you're asking if I'm the forbidden child, yes, I am. Daughter of an Accursed and a human." Whispers burst amongst the class. Some eyes widened while others looked at me in sheer disgust. "Umm.. okay. That's it. I'll be sitting down now." I said. I was completely flushed with embarrassment. "Please get this heat off of me. Please." I prayed. "Ahhh NEXT we haveeee... PRINCE CORIAN!! Could you please rise to your feet and introduce yourself to the class? Not that you need much of an introduction." The whole classes gasped and turned their attention to my direction. I looked behind me to see who they were looking at, and right above me stood the handsome dark haired boy, all of his noble glory beaming down upon me. "Hello. I am Prince Corian of Vernos. I like Human treats such as "iced creams" and I especially love playing Jumba with the team. Gooo dragons!" He exclaimed. The class cheered, girls fainted, and boys clapped a little bit TOO loud for the comfort of my ears. "Settle DOWN class." Said Mister Colbert. Corian politely sat down, obviously used to such outbursts. I turned to him, eyes wide with disbelief. "You're a prince!" "And you're a halfbreed. We learn something new everyday, Aye?" I was shocked at his remark. He clearly saw the pained expression on my face, and quickly clarified what he meant. "That wasn't an insult love. I was just saying, you're one of a kind! Exotic, even. No one else like you in all of the 7 kingdoms." I smiled. "Why thank you, Prince Corian." I teased. "Anytime. But please just call me Cori." He smiled. Timed passed and student after student stood up and introduced themselves. Corian tapped my shoulder. "See those guys over there?" He pointed to the blonde guy and his friend from before." "Yeah? What about them?" I asked. "Those are the two dukes of Nivra. Sons of the original King Vincent, brother of Diana." "Those are the nephews of Diana the Comjurer?" He nodded. "Wow. They must be pretty powerful." "Luke, the blonde one is. But Brandon is nowhere NEAR his brother's power level." Oof. That wasn't much of a shocker. "Royals and nobility tend to have more raw power than middle class and common folk." He said. "Oh really? Can you tell me who that girl is?" I gestured to the tiny girl in the front who's red hair covered her face, her knees pulled up to her chest with her faced buried in them. "That's Beatrice. She's the daughter of the King of Suna." So the girl from before, with the crazy power levels radiating across the room just so happened to be a princess. "There's a lot of competition here." He nodded and smiled. "You'll get used to it. I can sense magical power coming off of you. A lot of it at that. And so can everyone in this room. They don't like you, not because of your blood, but because that an untrained half breed has more power radiating off of her than most of them at full power, and you aren't even doing anything but breathing." I looked around and noticed everyone's faces. Some were faces of disgust. Some were faces of malice. But mostly, all I could see in their faces were one of the most deadly emotions an Accursed could ever have: Fear.

"You each will be given an object to lift mentally." The teacher instructed. "For each object you lift, I will place another object in front of you until the mental strain from HOLDING the objects will become unbearable." He threw a ball in the air and pointed towards Beatrice. "How about you, Miss Lockwood?" The girl walked hesitantly to the front of the class, her petite frame hidden beneath the loose yellow dress that she wore to her knees. Her tan skin and red hair showed that she was from the kingdom of Suna, which was known for it's Heat and Powerful fire elementalists. Her eyes were orange, which showed she was a trait that showed she was of Nobel Sunian blood. She was absolutely gorgeous. The hair from her face parted with a breeze no one could feel, and the ball began to float in the air. "Good good... how about THIS!" He said, quickly throwing a large rock into the air. "Caught it." The girl said. "Got anything heavier?" She asked, clearly uninterested. "Of course I do." His eyes focused in concentration. Her eyes squinted harder than before, a strain clearly being put on her. "What..are you.. doing?" She asked through gritted teeth. "Surrounding you with telekinetic energy, and shrinking it within your limited line of control." Her knees bent; as though a heavy weight was placed on her shoulders. "You're powerful, yes, but you can most definitely learn to not be so cocky. Instead of using your powers to create giant bursts of energy, you need to learn how to control your power into small fragments and focus it into one area, channeling it so that you can hold off even the strongest of telekinetics." He flicked his wrist and sent her flying across the room. She slammed into the wall and slid down it, slump and unmoving. "WHO'S NEXT?"
