"Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light."

Percival's POV

"Ahh!" I hear Gwaine scream again. I push my legs harder as I crash through the forest, following the sound. Going after Morgana was a mistake. I tell myself again. We had no idea what we were dealing with. I push the thought to the back of my mind as I break through the trees into a clearing. The sun blinds me and I blink rapidly to try to adjust my eyes.

Gwaine is kneeling in front of me, his wrists tied to two trees on either side of him. I rush forward, glancing around in search of Morgana, but she is nowhere to be seen. I kneel down in front of Gwaine and cup his head in my hands. "Gwaine..." I say.

"I failed." he whispers.

"No. No, you didn't." I reply. His eyes close and his head falls forward into my hands. "Gwaine." i shake him gently. "Gwaine!" I shake him again, harder this time. Silence. I close my eyes.

To my left I hear a rustle in the trees.
