"Avery!" Patty yelled as he banged on the bathroom door. "We're gonna be late, and Ben will kill me!"

I shut off the shower and stepped out, throwing my wet hair up in a towel as I quickly started to dry myself off.

"I'll be out in a minute, Patty!" I yelled back. "Hold on!"

After throwing on a pair of leggings and one of the many old tour t-shirts that Patty had brought for me, I flung the bathroom door open and screamed, taking a step back as I came face to face with Patty.

"What's wrong?!" He laughed, leaning back against the wall, watching me place a hand over my heart. "Did I scare you?"

"Yes, you asshole!" I said as I threw my wet towel at him. "Don't do that!"

I sat down on the bed to slip on my socks and Vans, running a brush through my wet hair, looking over at Patty as he took a photo of me.

"Where are you posting that?" I groaned as I threw my brush down in my bag. "I don't even have time to put on any makeup."

"I'm proving to Ben that it's not my fault that we're late," he laughed, adjusting his beanie. "You don't need makeup, Avery, you're always fucking beautiful."

I blushed as I walked over to him, kissing his cheek.

"Aw, thank you!" I smiled, shoving my phone in his pocket because I didn't have any. "Okay, I'm ready now," I smirked.

"I'm gonna throw your phone away when you're not looking," he teased as he followed me out the door. "Let's see how long you can live without it."

"I'll just run your phone over with my car," I shrugged, looking back at him. "Neither of us will have a phone then."

Xoxox

"It's about time you fucking got here!" Ben laughed as he wrapped his arms around me, hugging me tightly. "We were beginning to think you forgot about us!"

"Me? Forget about you?" I laughed, pulling away from him. "Never! I just...didn't get up on time, and I had to shower," I blushed.

"Avery? Oversleeping? What else is new?" Foley laughed as he hugged me, ruffling my damp hair. "It's good to finally meet you in person."

I moved my head away, laughing as I looked up at him.

"It doesn't happen all the time!" I teased, moving on to hug Alistair. "It's nice to meet you, too. You're all so tall," I laughed as I hugged him. "Hi! Nice to meet you, too!"

Finally, Ronnie looked at me and laughed, shaking his head.

"You're the Avery that I've been hearing so much about, huh?" He laughed, pulling me in for a hug. "Patty's told me so many wonderful things about you!"

"I have not!" Patty said as he watched us. "I hardly talk about her!"

I blushed as I pulled away from Ronnie, laughing as I looked up at him.

"It's nice to finally see you in person," I smiled widely. "I've heard great things about you."

The boys went to go pick up their stuff from baggage claim when Patty tapped me on the shoulder, handing me my phone.

"I was gonna wait till later to tell you," he said as he put it in my hands. "But it's been going off like crazy in my pocket."

I rolled my eyes as I unlocked it to see 10 missed calls and 30 text messages from Josh, all of them asking where I was, threatening to drain my bank account if I didn't come home, and my personal favorite: threatening to come find me.

"He says that stuff to you?" Patty asked softly, his hands on my arms as he stood behind me, peaking over my shoulder. "Avery..."

"Jokes on him," I laughed, trying to keep myself together. "I drained my own account and closed it before I left the other day. I opened a new one that he doesn't have access to."

Patty rubbed my arms, pulling me in for one of his famous tight hugs that I missed so much.

"You need to break up with him and move somewhere else, somewhere far away that he doesn't know where to find you," he said as he played with my hair.

"And where's that, Patty?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Ever think about moving out of the country?" He asked, pulling away from the hug when the guys came back over with the stuff. "It took you losers long enough!"

Ronnie laughed at us as we followed them out of the airport.

"We didn't interrupt a love fest, did we?" He smirked.

I slapped his arm, pulling my keys out of Patty's pocket with a laugh.

"Ew!" I smirked. "I have a boyfriend, you know."

A boyfriend that you hate, stupid. Everyone knows you're in love with Patty. Just date him already; the voice inside my head kept repeating to me over and over. He just basically asked you to move to the UK with him.

"Riiiight, a boyfriend," Ronnie winked as he went back to his conversation with Foley.

Warped was officially beginning tomorrow, and I was spending the entire summer with these idiots and my best friend. What could go wrong?
