Minneapolis, Minnesota
*** Britt's POV ***
Right as the buses had packed up to leave for Milwaukee, it started thunder storming so bad that nobody could see to drive. As a safety precaution, the tour had decided to stay at a nearby hotel for the night and drive to Milwaukee in the morning.
While we were waiting for room assignments in the lobby, I noticed that Patty kept staring at Avery.
"Don't turn around," I muttered as she met my eyes. "Patty is staring at you. He keeps looking like he wants to come say something but doesn't know what."
"We've been making a lot of eye contact but neither of us will say anything," she said as she held her blanket in her arms. "It's kind of awkward, really."
Kevin made everybody be quiet so that he could make an announcement. He stood on a chair.
"Attention everyone!" He called with his hands around his mouth. "It's supposed to storm through the night, so it's unsafe for our drivers to drive in these conditions. We will be leaving for Milwaukee at 4:30 tomorrow morning, so make sure you return to your buses no later than 4:15. Come see me for your room assignments."
Because I was just visiting, Avery had to go get our room assignment and key. While I was waiting for her to come back, Ronnie came up behind me and draped an arm around my shoulder.
"Do you wanna room with me tonight?" He whispered in my ear, making me shiver. "You're gonna be leaving after the show tomorrow, and we haven't had much alone time."
I leaned against his body, looking up at him with a smirk.
"That sounds nice, but," I paused, turning around to wrap my arms around his torso. "I know Avery is scared of storms, so I need to make sure she'll be okay before I leave her alone."
He frowned, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to my lips.
"Friends are important," he said as he smiled slightly. "Let me know what she says."

Finally, a little over an hour later, Avery and I had gotten upstairs to our room. All the main stage bands got the first floor, and all the bands on the smaller stages got the second and third floors. We were on the third floor, Ben was next to us, Ronnie across the hall, Patty's room next to him, and because they were short on space, Ali and Foley agreed to share a room.
"This is nice," Avery said as she walked in the room, tossing her overnight bag and blanket on the bed. "I'm sleeping in this bed," she said as she walked over to the window to see how heavy the rain was pouring down.
"Actually," I said nervously as I sat down on my bed. "Would you mind if I went and stayed the night with Ronnie? I'm leaving after the show tomorrow, and we haven't really gotten to spend any time together."
She turned around to face me with a bit of a smirk on her face, so I knew she couldn't be too angry with me.
"I mean, if you really want to," she laughed as she sat down on the bed opposite of me. "I'm sure I'll be fine. And if I really need to ... I know Patty stays up until odd hours of the night anyway. I can text him."
"Yeah, he'll definitely answer," I laughed as I pulled my phone out to text Ronnie. "Thanks, Avery."
"No problem!" She called as she walked into the bathroom. "Be sure to use a condom!"
I grabbed my bag and my pillow, walking across the hall to Ronnie's room. As soon as I sent that text, he was ready and waiting for me.
"Desperate, much?" I winked as I walked into his room, dropping my bag on the floor as I went to sit on his bed. "Avery said it was fine. She said she could text Patty if she needed him, and I said he'd respond," I laughed as I laid back on his bed.
