My Good Ole' Characters

Sasha

Here is our second Cyclops gal! If you couldn't tell(I find it pretty obvious, but hey, it's cool) she's half-mermaid. She is also the oldest out of Kaishi's clan. 

Sasha, like most of the misfits, never knew her father and grew up with her mother. Growing up, she was very isolated from the rest of the mermaids because her mother was afraid that they would not accept her and end up killing her. Her mother was also worried about her own self-image because — Surprise, surprise! — she was a queen! But this isn't about her, this is about Sasha.

After a while, Sasha just couldn't be contained in her little cave any longer and ventured out when her mother left. She was very careful during her little trips and was seen only once. But once was all it took. Rumors started around the merpeople and Sasha's mother was forced to confront the matter. This was not the smartest idea on the Queen's part. Mermaids in this universe despise large changes and would typically attempt to use brute-force to return order to their lives. There were no half-mermaid creatures where Sasha grew up, so this was very new. The queen didn't last long against the enraged crowd, and soon after they went for Sasha. Sasha was much quicker to react to the violence and fled before the kingdom could get their hands on her.

After this, she grew up alone and quickly became violent towards anybody she was unfamiliar with(which was basically everything). She grew a big ole' temper as well. Sasha is incredibly quick in the water which is how she was able to go so long without being discovered by anyone. Kaishi discovered Sasha after the beast tried to pull her into a lake to drown her. The only reason Kaishi survived this encounter was because of the fact that Sasha saw that her soon-to-be victim also had only one eye. Kaishi swam to shore and Sasha just followed after her, dumbfounded as hell. 

Kaishi quickly tried to befriend Sasha, seeing as this was the first half-cyclops she's ever seen. Sasha was not too happy about this, but with lots of coaxing, talking, and spare time, the two became comfortable around each other. During these early stages, Sasha had to remind herself how to talk again because of the fact that she had not whispered a word in years. 

This brings us to the present. Sasha has gradually become more 'friendly' towards outsiders, despite still lashing out at them if they try anything sneaky. Sasha and Kaishi have a very close friendship despite Sasha denying this fervently. She is the unofficial guardian of the Clan and has saved all of their hides several times over the years.

I think I will leave it here for now. I've written a lot about her, but I want to save some creative juices for other characters as well. I think I'll switch from the Cyclops for a little while, mostly because I need to make their ref sheets. If there are any questions, feel free to ask me!
