Jungmin ran to class with tear stained cheeks. His heart was breaking, giving him such an unbearable pain that he wanted to go home and hide in his room. Who knew he would get his heart broken right after realizing his love for Hyunseong. He reached his classroom and quickly headed for his seat, avoiding the gazes that his classmates were giving him. Some looked at him worried; some looked at him with curiosity. Fortunately, the bell rang right when he took his seat, not giving anyone a chance to talk to him and ask what was wrong.

~:~With Hyunseong and that chick a little before class started~:~

Hyunseong watched Jungmin run away, clenching his fists. He knew he was being a total jerk, but what else could he do? He was in a way, indirectly rejected by his friend since Jungmin had avoided him since his confession. He did, didn’t he? Was he mistaken? Before he was able to actually think of an answer, the insignificant human being that stood beside him, whom he had forgotten, tugged on his shirt.

“R-really? Am I your girlfriend now?” said person asked, a look of excitement taking place.

Hyunseong quirked an eyebrow and felt a chill run down his spine. He was starting to feel utterly disgusted with the girl staring up at him, not that he didn’t already. Without answering, he continued to make his way to class.

“Yah! Shim Hyunseong! Answer me!” said girl yelled, running after Hyunseong.

She continued to ask if it was true and Hyunseong continued to ignore her. Shouldn’t she start to give up? She asked only about a million times and each time he didn’t answer. So what made her think that if she kept asking, he’d answer? They neared their classroom and Hyunseong began to tune her out as he thought about Jungmin. Memories of their good times played in his head and he couldn’t help but let out a smile. The girl caught his smile and misunderstood it for his answer.

She gasped and stopped in her tracks while Hyunseong continued to advance towards the door.

“I’m taking that as a yes!” the girl shrieked as she squealed and ran into the classroom.

Jungmin looked up from the sudden squeal and saw said girl and Hyunseong walk into the classroom. They were a few minutes late, so now the whole class had their attention on them. The girl ran over to her seat, which was ironically right in front of Jungmin and began to whisper something to the girl in the seat beside her.

“We’re going out now!”

Jungmin’s eyes widened at the sudden announcement. It wasn’t as if it was his first time hearing it, but for some reason, hearing it from the girl made it sound more believable. He stared at his desk, eyes still wide. At the corner of his eye, he saw the chair at the desk to his side pull out and then in as someone sat in it. He turned slightly to see his best friend sitting there, looking up at the board. Of course he would be sitting there. As friends, they did choose their seats to be right next to each other, but at that moment, Jungmin really wanted to sit somewhere away from his friend. Hyunseong turned and looked at Jungmin who quickly diverted his gaze, hiding the tears that were welling up in his eyes.

Class passed on and Jungmin continued to feel like he was in hell. Class seemed to drag on and on, just like the day. By the time it was sixth period; Jungmin was strained and had a pain in his stomach that was starting to bother him. Was it stress that was causing him the pain? Or was it because he had been away from Hyunseong for too long? Was it really that discomforting to be so distant from his best friend? Jungmin knew the answer to that question and he knew it rather well, but there was nothing he can do, since his friend had moved on and forgotten him. Jungmin winced at the thought as he grabbed onto his side. Sixth period was the only class that he didn’t have with Hyunseong and he was thankful for that. This was probably the only time that he felt happy about not having all his classes with Hyunseong.
