Jungmin hadn’t slept a wink since the day Hyunseong walked out of his life. That was about two days ago. He was on house arrest, forbidden to leave. Junghyun had threatened that if he were to look for Hyunseong, he would ship him off to their grandparents who lived in Jeju Island. Jungmin sighed at the memory. He couldn’t leave even if he wanted to. His brother had locked his door from the outside and the only way out was the window. But that was equal to walking to his demise. Regret for picking the room on the third floor seeped through his bones and he found himself crying once again. He had tried calling Hyunseong countless times, but each time his call was answered by the answering machine. He left Hyunseong messages, begging for him to come back, telling him that they could work things out and get through it together if they just stuck together. A reply never came.

The sound of his lock turning made him stop crying as he stared at his door. Although he knew it was pointless, he still hoped that the person to appear at his door would be his Hyunseong. Disappointment soon washed over him when his brother walked through the door with a tray of food in his hands. He turned away, eyebrows furrowing together. He was angry. Very angry at his brother. Junghyun had ruined everything. He had taken away Jungmin’s source of happiness. Sure he needed his family. They were his support. He knew that. However, they were never home. His mom and dad were always away doing business in America so they had bought a house over there. His brother seldom comes home. So why did he decide to come home now and ruin Jungmin’s life?

“Here, eat.” Junghyun placed the tray of food down in from of Jungmin and turned away.

“What about school?”

“I informed them that you would be on sick leave for a few days while I find you a new school.”

Jungmin turned back to his brother with wide eyes. “You can’t do that!”

Junghyun whipped around, gaze hard. “Why? Because that bastard goes there? As long as he is attending that school, you won’t.”

“But hyung-”

“I’m very disappointed in you.” Jungmin heart ached. “I’d never thought that you’d turn out this way. It was my fault. I should’ve stayed home and been a role model. I should’ve stopped you from hanging out with him.”

Jungmin was mad. He was furious. “You staying here wouldn’t have changed me in any way! I love him, Junghyun. That won’t change. We’re made for each other!”

Junghyun scoffed and bit onto his lip. “You disgust me.”

Jungmin’s breath hitched in his throat and suddenly the air became thick, making it difficult for him to breathe. Those words hurt. They tore into him like a heated blade, cutting through to his very core.

“I’m sorry.” Jungmin choked, more tears running down his face as he watched his brother walk out of his room.

Hyunseong sat in the cafeteria, the sounds of student chattering blocked out by his throbbing head ache. He too, had not been able to sleep for the past few nights and it was taking a toll on him. The others sat around him, concerned looks on their faces. Even Donghyun looked worried for the younger. They were all unsure of what happened, but they knew it had something to do with Jungmin.
