Aedion clasped his hands around his mouth and whispered into Rowan's ear. The whole room silenced, all Fae leaning in as close as possible to hear what words were being said.

When he finished, the Wolf of the North pulled away to see Rowan's face.

Rowan stood up and towered over Aedion, "are you sure you want to do this?"

"Absolutely," he replied clear as day and with not a hint of regret.

"Well, it's your funeral," Rowan mumbled under his breathe but still making it audible to the whole room.

Rowan sat down and told Aelin to turn around. He got to work, inking most of her upper back. At moments it was very sore and painful due to the excessive scarring. "Hold on, Fireheart, just a little more," he uttered reassurance to her whenever he could sense her in pain.

The tattoo nearly done and Yrene had her head rested on Chaol's lap as they whispered to each other; Aedion playing with Lysandra's hair as she snuggled up next to him and finally Dorian and Manon sitting close together, Manon gradually leaning closer and closer to him.

"Done," Rowan's voice sent everyone on their feet and huddling around Aelin.

"Oh my," Yrene blurted with a hand coming to her mouth. Manon's eyes widened but she soon started laughing - she couldn't wait for the aftermath and what would be left of Aedion. Chaol looked over to Aedion and gave him a face implying: 'Damn, you messed up big time.' Dorian tried to hold in a laugh and Lysandra stood there frozen. Her jaw dropped and after what seemed like an age, she turned around and slapped Aedion right across the face.

Seconds later, the outline of her hand appeared bright red on his cheek. "Oww!" He exclaimed, whirling around towards her. "You do deserve it," Rowan said with a shrug.

"Come on guys, it can't be that bad!" Aelin finally said, getting up. She turned to face a tall mirror and twisted her head around to find Aedion's big ass head smiling and winking on her back and written around it: 'The Wolf of the North is my bae.'

She whirled around faster than humanely possible and gave him a matching brand on his other cheek. "Few! At least it wasn't too bad!" Aedion remarked.

"Oh don't worry, you will get the rest tomorrow," Aelin replied. Now she wouldn't be able to wear open back dresses anymore! She was going to kill him.

"Well you guys have fun, me and Chaol are going to take off, see you tomorrow," Yrene said dragging her husband out the door. Chaol shouted down the corridor: "good luck Aedion!" Aedion quickly turned around and grabbed Lysandra's arm, "come on, we should be getting to bed too, it is really late," he said with a dramatic yawn.

"Actually I am tired, but the more sleep I get the fresher I will feel tomorrow morning, making beating you up so much more enjoyable," Aelin said sweetly.

"Alright good night!" Lysandra said waving to everyone whilst taking her turn in dragging Aedion out of the ornate doors.

"I will be heading off too, good night," Dorian said, whilst turning giving a pointed look at Manon which set her mouth talking: "I'm tired too, goodnight," she said hurriedly and slipped out the door.

Dorian was waiting just around the corner, "come on Witchling, we have things to do," he said cheekily with a smile. "Come on Princeling, take me to your room," she said with a mocking bow. "It would be my pleasure," he returned and he linked arms with her and walked humbley yet hurriedly to Dorian's room.
