I waited for what seemed like years. But in truth it was only a couple of seconds.
Her eyes had closed and gave it everything I had.
I fought for control.
And I succeeded.
The shaking stopped.
I had a deep breath and coughed.
Regaining my strength as much as I could, I crawled to Annie as fast as I could manage.
I grabbed her in my arms, and held her tightly.
But she didn't respond.
Her limp limbs swung in the air behind her. Her head leaning in a neck breaking position.
I saw no fog coming from her nostrils.
I didn't see her chest rising and falling with each breath.
I saw no life in my daughter.
I laid her down, being quick but also gentle.
I tried to restart her heart.

The light is fascinating.
It isn't like anything I have ever seen before. It is whiter than a full moon, and brighter than the sun.
There is only one way to describe it.
Beautiful.
Im drawn to its beauty.
It looks safe.
I looked down at myself.
A silver dress is flowing from my body.
Doing a twirling admiration, I feel no pain.
No pain in my broken arm, I am no longer numb.
I giggled to myself.
I feel so great.
I feel like I could fly.
I look back at the light. And my smile automatically disappears.
My mum is in the light smiling at me, and is beckoning me to follow her as she turns, and walks through the light. Leaving me gawking in the darkness.
I'm dead.
I left dad.
I am drawn to the light. But I cannot go. I will not go.
I turn around. Crossing my arms. Probably looking like a three year old child having a tantrum.
When I feel a sharp jolts in my chest.
Thump thump thump 'come on Annie come back to me. Please come back.'
I don't recognise this voice it is to distant and muffled.
But I don't want to leave this voice.
So I start running.
Faster and faster, away from the beautiful light.
Away from mummy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thump thump thump
It's all I heard.
The thudding of her dead, silent heart.
The only thing that was keeping me sane.
That her heart was beating slightly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been running as if the grim reaper was chasing me, for what seemed like forever.
My legs aren't burning.
I'm not breathing heavily.
I feel as if I'm just taking a stroll on the beach. Not sprinting into the darkness, not knowing where I am.
I don't know where I'm going. Or how I'm going to find my way back to dad, when all I can see is black.
And a small white patch ahead of me.
It's not as beautiful as the light far behind.
It's dirtier with two darker spots in the middle of the circle.
It's what it is. It's a dirty white circle.
I slow down as I near it.
I strain my eyes to look closer.
I see a lying down person. With a bandage around their head.
And a bigger shape. A person. Trying to start a little girls heart.

Confused??? Yeahhhh
I tried something different this time. I'm not sure if it worked better or it's just weird.
Two chapters at once people!!! I scare myself sometimes!
